Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bad service i was completely disappointed during my stay. the whole atmosphere was uncomfortable for me and my wife. we had a late check in. next morning the room service had woke us up at 9 A.m and they enter the room while me and my wife were still in bed. no one of your managers have even tried to make a small compliment for us. i will never come back to your hotel again. 25 August 2013

The kids were very happy and they were engaged with many activities provided by the hotel. The adults also enjoyed the Spa, Pools and the clean Sea Shore. I was a Royal Ambassador staying on points and what a great experience it proved to be ;.decent rooms ; decent food ; friendly and courteous staff ; good pool and the best private beach in Aqaba . Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Property that needs a makeover Great property, but lacks maintenance. Was not given the room type i i booked but was thrilled to start my vacation so i did not argue. Pool was excellent except that it did not seem so clean for the first two days of my stay. The rooms do require maintenance, and the mattresses a change! Funny thing was the amount of spelling mistakes which were humorous and were not expected from and international chain. overall it was an OK stay that would have been great if some extra attention was given to the property. Furthermore, the front desk personnel could not locate my reservation for over an hour and being a Rewards Club Member did not make any difference 18 August 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by long weekend with family and friends This location is usually one of my favourite destinations all over the world, I like the location, the property it self, the staff, the town, food and activities (water sports , dive etc...) and nearbye attractions. During my last visit, the staff from ambassador guest relations and front desk (specially Bashir) were amazing, however, I didn't get the usual recognition for being platinum ambassador member. I hope this was a 1 time issue due to the fact the place was very busy during that weeknd,I would still like to give it additional chance and will update on my next visit during end of Aug. 15 August 2013

I want to thank Hala the guest relations agent and Omar and Yazan the receptionists who helped me with my reservation and gave me a wonderful room with an amazing view and thanks to all the Intercontinental Hotel Aqaba Staff you guys were beyond wonderful. 08 August 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing staff From the moment I stepped out of Aqaba Airport, I was overwhelmed by the staff's pride in their establishment and their passion to serve, let it be from the driver/bellman Besheer who whisked me from the airport in the sleek Mercedes, to guest relations May who graciously checked me in while seated comfortably in the lobby, to housekeepers Ayman and Ashraf who showed unbelievable sense of belonging and pride in their establishment, to the unparalleled efficient and personal service rendered by the Martini Bar hostesses.. Really impressed and as they say first impressions are lasting impressions.. Can't wait to go back! 04 August 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Such a Lovely Place, Such a Lovely Face My gosh, what can I possibly come up with to describe this experience? I felt like Lawrence of Arabia (except that I was in Jordan and not named Lawrence) and was swept away by the grandeur and majesty of this hotel (granted, Lawrence never stayed in a fantastic hotel, but set that fact aside for now). What does anyone want in an amazing locale aside from fantastic amenities (belly dancers in the room upon arrival greatly top a generic chocolate on the pillow) and a nearly-kilometer long beach (the best sand your toes could wiggle into)? A morning stroll to the marketplace with a cup of coffee in hand. The sounds of the city waking up and getting started. Simply mystical! It almost felt unreal. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Great product.Clean rooms and nice bathrooms. Excellent FD and Room Service staff. Very poor service in the restaurant and the F&B staff working the pool area and the beach. Have to chase them down for menus and servers never come back to check or upsell . Restaurant staff really rude the first day , better the second day with a supervisor on the floor. Could have been one of the best hotel stays if it was not for the F&B staff. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The place to stay when in Aqaba, Jordan I visited this property 6 years ago and was able to feel the big improvement in staff and service. This time the staff was very helpful and knowledgable from the minute I walked in. I was fully recognized for my status (RA). The customer service staff took the time to walk me through all the amenities personally , including the club lounge that has the breathtaking views of the red-sea. (Hotel has the best beach in the area). The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent with a good value. What made this experience exceptional though was the great staff and their attention to details. I look forward to my next stay here soon. 22 July 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rude Staff Some staff members lack the tact and caliber expected of the Intercontinental staff. We asked for services several times and most of the times we did not get what we asked for. We had to ask over and over again for the same things. We stayed in the non-smoking section, but smoke was all over the corridors and in the elevators. Why do they have ash trays in the non smoking section? It seems that enforcement of the non smoking policy not a priority. 16 July 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable room Bad things, two hours to get the rooms, no coordinations between employees, dinner at the main resturant is a night mare,, no replacment of bufeet items, barbeque food and staff are not supose to be at an intercon hotel chain,... good things, rooms and bed are clean and comfortable, beach snack rest, is execellent food and staff. swimming pool and beach staff are excellent. 12 July 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by friendly staff we stay here quite often on our escapes from saudi arabia being a member of the ambassadors club does make a difference to us and if it didnt exist we might well start staying elsewhere, all the migrant staff around the hotel are excellent and friendly but the restaurant standards are not 5* as known in europe, they cant even poach or boil an egg correctly. Despite this we will continue to return as long as the ambassadors programme continues due to the position of the hotel and the beach. 21 June 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by another amazing experience From start to finish a fabulous time was had by all> The staff are amazing, too many to name but all fabulous even the Manager> We have visited many times and are never disappointed, the club floor is a must for us and standards are so good its just like a second home for us and we would never think of staying any where else. Friends are now Intercontinental ciub floor converts they all love it as much as us, well done and of course we will be back very soon 21 June 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Aqaba Intercontinental: The Royal Treament Hotel Location: The hotel is centrally located 10 minutes from the Eilat (Israel) border and about 15 minutes from the King Hussein International Airport. The hotel sits on the northern tip of the Red Sea, with private beach access. The water is crystal clear and great for diving. The views on the ocean side of the hotel are absolutely stunning with scenes of mountain ranges that seem to go on forever. During the times guest are not on the road touring they have all they could possibly need at this property-multiple restaurants (Pizza shop, Lebanese restaurant, Carniche’s restaurant boasts a variety of selection-we didn't make it there because of time). You also have a Spa and a very large gym. There is a shopping area where you can buy just about anything you need from soap, books, swim suites etc. You can also plan your tours right from the hotel at Thrifty Car Rental. They don’t just rent vehicles but plan excursions throughout the region to major tourist attractions and more. The gentleman running the place is named Mohammad and he can assist you getting anywhere! Staff: Customer service is taken very seriously at this IHG property. When my husband and I arrived we were greeted with warm welcomes by all staff members but the Guest Relations representative, Amer, was the absolute best. He sat down with us and discussed the layout of the hotel and all that it had to offer. He asked about our trip crossing the border to ensure that it was done with ease and efficiency—just a note; the Jordanian border guards are extremely efficient we actually made it across in about 10 minutes! Due to arriving early (we left Israel several hours early out of fear and misinformation that crossing the border would take at least 2 hours-this was pure nonsense) we had to wait for our room, we were allowed to hang out in the Intercontinental Club Lounge. The lounge was well decorated and comfortable; we had views of the ocean and were allowed to have beverages and a variety of appetizers. The staff in the lounge couldn't be nicer and more helpful. They attended to our every need promptly to the point we didn't even have time to ask. Room: We were upgraded to the Club floor which was located on the fifth floor. Our room had spectacular views of the ocean and mountain ranges. The bathroom had a separate shower and bath and a toilet and bidet. So you can imagine the bathroom was a nice large space. We had a king bed which was very comfortable and a space with desk and chairs. The best part of the room was deck/patio overlooking the Red Sea. I could have stayed there forever—really! When you see the pictures you will understand that this hotel is one of the best properties that IHG has to offer and I can’t wait to return. Additional Information: One should not feel apprehensive in crossing the Eilat/Jordan border. This is not a big deal! Remember that you will be required to pay an exit fee from both countries. This will not break the bank unless you are planning multiple entries into Jordan for more information: 07 June 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very uncomforatble beds and bad management The mattresses in the room were very uncomfortable, collapsed, and should have been written off and replaced long ago. I asked that mattresses be changed after first night, they were changed to simillar condition ones, which means all mattresses of the hotel should be replaced. I wrote the general manager an e-mail complaining about the badding while I was staying in the hotel. The funny thing the general manager did not even respond to the correspondence. On checking out, the cashier asked whether our 4 day stay was good. I expressed that it was not and the beds were bad. He promissed to inform the management, and to have them contact me. I am still waiting to hear from the hotel the excuse for the bad bedding, and for the manager not responding to the correspondence. 21 May 2013
