When I entered the lobby door I was greeted warmly and made to feel at home by several staff. The service for our entire stay was excellent. The room was another very pleasant surprise! Next time we visit Toronto, we'll be booking a room at the Intercontinental! 24 September 2013

The location was perfect if you are interested in the Toronto Downtown core and is fairly close to Union Station. 24 September 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great rooms and amenities in a very central location Check-in very efficient. Rooms nicely decorated and make the guest feel comfortable and secure. Club lounge provides a relatively calm haven and is well stocked (at least at breakfast time when I was there). Concierge service excellent. 22 September 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location Came to Toronto for the first time for a long weekend. Picked the Intercontinental for it's location. It was perfect, walking distance to restaurant row, Second City, and the Rogers Center. Had a problem with the AC the first night, after a number of tries it was finally fixed. The manager comped us breakfast for three days for our inconvenience. That's customer service. 20 September 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loved it I have stayed at more than 10 + hotels in toronto and this was the first time staying here. IT was close to the restaurants and the cn tower which was our activity for the weekend. We stayed one night, and the staff was very helpful printing us information and checking our bags in so we did not have to carry them because our room was not ready. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view, which was even prettier at night when the cn tower was all light up. We had the buffet breakfast in the morning which was great, so we did not have to leave the hotel. For the price, area and amenities I would recommend this over other hotels which are pricier in the same area. 19 September 2013

The staff went out of their way to ensure that we had a wonderful and memorable stay. Wherever we choose to celebrate in the future, the Interconinental will be on our short list for sure!!! 16 September 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Complimentary stay wasn't suitable After an unacceptable stay at the hotel during this past spring for the Ontario Dental Association Convention, I was given a certificate for a nights accomodation. My husband and I used the certificate this past Saturday for our anniversary. Our stay was again disappointing. The initial room we were given had a problem with the TV, we had to wait for a service technician multiple times, after deciding they could not fix the problem, we were then moved to another room. The whole even disrupted our afternoon and dinner plans. Once we were moved to the new room, I noticed someone left their cellphone plugged into the bathroom recepticle, which made me question how clean the bathroom was that this item had been missed. We were also charged for a local phone call which we never made. Overall, it was a disappointing stay. My husband and I have stayed there a number of time over the years, I think we'll be staying elsewhere in the future. 11 September 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet, peaceful, excellent staff, great service, safe, comfortable I attended a conference at a nearby hotel but chose ICH because of the construction mess over there. Perfect choice. Did have a problem with my reservation, had a suite reserved but when I extended stay by a day, system OKed it, but room not available. Staff upgraded me to a nice room with breakfast, tea, and other goodies included for less cost. Room was private, extremely clean & quiet, and being on a more private wing w/ staff on the wing was perfect as I was traveling alone. ALL staff was courteous, helpful, & basically spoiled me. They knew us, would glance up and greet us when we walked past, which seemed so much safer than those typical hotel hallways w/ many many people walking around. Safety is important here.Especially when I came back late, which I did almost every night because of comference. Nice to have the breakfast available, always had omelets, sausage potatoes, bagels, toast, sweet rolls, sliced turkey & ham, beverages.. Nice area to sit and enjoy breakfast, tea or snacks in evening. Staff is empowered to basically fix problems.I had a later flight on last day, was going to be hard to check out at noon,store all bags, do some shopping, sightseeing, & come back topick up bags. My checkout time was extended, i was able came back once, change, pick up my bags & go to airport. Very nice& less rushed. Only negative, it is an expensive hotel, but frankly, Toronto is a big city & like any big city, hotels are expensive. I have spent more $ in Washington DC & London & gotten way LESS service (also less convenient location important in a larger city. With ICH Centre, I walked out door on Front street, walked minutes to my conf., grab a sightseeing bus, walk to tower, access underground shopping, or grab a coffee or food in like 50 places on Front St. Center of everything, gave me chance to sightsee, shop & hit all museums. Also hit the yarn stores. Best location. My cousins staying at other hotel were jealous of all the services I got for same price!!!! 10 September 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by InterContinental Hotel Toronto, 255 Front Street West I honestly was expecting an excellent service for the price I have paid for the room for TWO nights. The over all front desk experience was not well managed to what I have got from this stay at 255 Front Street West which is right next to the MTCC, in Downtown Toronto. What I have noticed is that assurances are made to meet your expectations but they are never met. For example, I have had problem with the clogged sink in the suite I was staying at and from what I was told is that this location just recently received a 50 Million Dollar renovation to begin with. I notified the managed 3 times at the front desk, I notified the Service Team right across my ROOM on 23rd floor TWICE but they failed to even service it. Secondly, my ROOM was never serviced when I would vacate it in the morning and when I would come back to it in the afternoon, it was left the same way I left it to begin with and when I asked for it to be serviced, promises were made but never kept. The third issue I had was with the parking lot because the vehicle I had did not fit in the lower garage area so I had to pay extra for my parking stop. Nowadays, parking lots are becoming smaller and smaller and cars and SUV's are becoming bigger and bigger. The fourth issue I had was the issue of communication with the service team they had for working on the rooms and regular over all service check and all. I honestly could have stayed at much better places. I was really disappointed. Really disappointed with my experience at this location. 07 September 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent overall, great staff. Great junior suite with most fabulous view of the lake, tower and Rogers Stadium. Really lovely staff on breakfast service every day. Just a couple of gripes... Very loud air con, but as weather not too hot we switched off. Check in at 6:30 pm was a long wait (15 mins) with only one staff member on at first. We were on holiday so not in a real hurry, but could have been quicker. Location really excellent and breakfast quality and choice the best for us in North America! The positives most definitely outweighed the small gripes and we would recommend. 05 September 2013

One thing to mention is in room 2516 - one of the bed lights does not work...(just so you know) also was surprised that there are only 4 pillows in the room when there are 4 people staying. Also surprised that they are all feather pillows. That was corrected when asked. Reminds me to make the request in advance, thanks for a great stay 05 September 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing! My Husband and I stayed at the InterContinental downtown Toronto on Saturday August 31st. We were in Toronto attending two Blue Jays games, one on Saturday afternoon and one on Sunday afternoon. We took the train to Toronto and arrived early at the Hotel in hopes of dropping off one of our backpacks (it was about 10:30 am). The man at the desk was so helpful and went out of his way to check to see if we could actually check in at that time. We were able to check in to a newly renovated room. Wow! The room was spectacular. We loved everything about it. The little things that impressed us were, the real wine glasses and a cork screw and opener, Keurig machine, a charger for my cell phone, possibly the most comfy bed I've ever slept in and 4 amazing pillows (5 actually), housecoat, slippers! I stay in a hotel every week and am always concerned about the cleanliness of the bed spread. Genius--the bed spread is actually a sheet which covers the real spread. The sheet can be washed with every stay. Really, this is huge for me. One little tiny detail that impressed me was a covered elastic for my hair in the shower cap package. I've never seen that before and my husband was amused at how much that small detail impressed me. The room was spotless and beautiful. We were lucky we didn't have to check out too early and could lounge on that wonderful bed and read the complimentary paper. We asked for more coffee and it was brought to us immediately. When we left the hotel we just had to go to the front desk to tell someone how much we enjoyed our stay. A nice young lady suggested we leave our one large backpack there while we went to the Blue Jays game and pick it up after the game--even though we had already checked out. Wonderful! We were going to go to Union Station and pay to have them keep it for us. She was so nice. I wish I had remembered her name. The staff at this hotel are wonderful. They actually look you in the eye, listen to what you are saying and talk to you. All in all just an amazing stay and we will stay there again!! 05 September 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Upgrade was not Hi, My son and I stayed at the IC Toronto Centre while attending Fan Expo at the end of August We have stayed at this hotel during the Convention for the past five years and have always enjoyed our stay and appreciate the amenities provided by booking a "Club" room This year, when we arrived, we were told that we were being upgraded to a new, better room on the 20th floor. Our IC customer service rep, Laurie #I hope that's the correct spelling# was terrific, friendly and very helpful. We are accustomed to being moved during the Con, as the hotel gets a bit rowdy with so many young people staying there, so I didn't question the upgrade When we arrived at the room on the 20th floor, we were shocked to find that our room was TINY, barely big enough to hold the two double beds and had almost no desk or counter space to work at As business travelers, we appreciate the typical "Club" room with its separate work area and generous floor space, this was the polar OPPOSITE In addition, there was no rod in the closet, lots of hangers but no place to hang them, the strong smell of adhesive and paint was a dead giveaway that we were likely the first people to use this room It was late at night after a long drive, and rather than call the desk to complain, we decided to call it a night, only to discover that there was construction going on, late into the night #Midnight+# in the next room...sounds of sawing and drilling were quite loud Overall, we were disappointed not to get the premium room that we had booked, and then to have a room that was clearly still under construction #as was its neighbor# 02 September 2013

This fit the bill perfectly and everything was wonderful. 5 out of 6 in our party had never been to Toronto before and we were happy to see how clean the streets were. Big city but much cleaner than NYC! We hope to come back. 02 September 2013

Being an IHG member, from 2014 all hotels belonging to IHG will have free Internet, however we believe hotels of this standing should have free wifi for all guests now, Concierge service was absolutely excellent! 01 September 2013

They gave us breakfast to compensate. The internet was a little off. Other than that I thought it was the perfect hotel for downtown Toronto, excellent staff, great room, wonderful location...I will definitely be back! Thank you! 30 August 2013

We understand the hotel was sold out during the weekend stay however you would know it. Our room was so quiet. We never heard any other guests on our floor. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. Great location in the city. 29 August 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Your Front Line Staff are Excellent Upon entering the Intercontinental at 225 Front St. W. Toronto, and going to the check in counter, I was very impressed with the staff. There was an issue unrelated to the hotel, but impacted my arrival. I was quite annoyed with the situation, but the front line person, Yassir, was very pleasant and professional. The room that was provided was beautiful. It had just been renovated and had a lovely view of the harbour. Yassir went out of his way to make my family feel wanted and welcome to his property. The restaurant staff were also very pleasant, and helpful. All in all this was one of the best experiences I have had in a hotel and I would highly recommend this property to my clients and friends. 28 August 2013

Not my favourite room as our window was a view of inside, so the room felt dark. I wont pick any other hotel. The price is high but worth it for the comfort of your stay. I am hoping to spend my 10th year there next August as well. 28 August 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service and conveniently located I often stay at the InterContinental Toronto Centre and I am always pleased with the quality of the service provided by all staff members and specially by Stephanie, Charisse, and Vera. Having access to the Club Lounge is ideal for business travelers as we get complimentary breakfast (hot and cold items) in very little time and are ready to go to our place of business early. Complimentary evening hors-d'oeuvres is an added bonus. The hotel is centrally located and a short distance from the Billy Bishop airport; the Union Station is just a short walk away, and theaters, restaurants, and many other touristic attractions are all nearby. 27 August 2013
