Toronto Centre

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 542 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place to Stay The hotel is very nice. The rooms are great, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The location is very central to a lot of Toronto sites. Overall, my experience was really good. The restaurant in the hotel is very pricey so we did not eat there. I had an internet fee charged to my bill that was not supposed to be there - they did remove it, but the person that I dealt with, was a bit rude about it. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again. 11 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service Staff were exceptional....all staff including restaurant very warm and hospitable. Very impressed with the quality of service. 07 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay. Location near the ACC is perfect....short 5 minute walk. The staff are knowledgeable, courteous and very helpful. Will definitely book here again. The only drawback is NO free wifi. $13.00 for 24 hours. 06 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Attention to detail and courteous staff My mom and I came to Toronto to see the Nana Mouskouri concert and stayed at your hotel. We had a fabulous time. Your staff were welcoming and courteous, the room was clean and the view was wonderful. We would especially like to thank PJ and the lovely young lady who was working at the Concierge desk on Wed evening. I thought I had lost my wallet and they were both so helpful and caring. Your wonderful staff made our stay special. Thanks to all. 05 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Family Weekend We greatly enjoyed our weekend, perfect proximity to the new aquarium and CN tower. I still can't stop thinking about the delicious breakfast. We'll definitely be back! Steve 02 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Family friendly luxury I have visited this property many times for business, and this time I travelled here for pleasure with my daughters. Staff were swift and friendly, helping me get the kids situated in a timely fashion, and making my girls feel special and important. Total city view, spa like pool area, and healthy, high quality menu items at Azure made this child focused stay a lasting memory. Thank you to the staff who care and make this a great destination for grown ups and kids alike! 02 April 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No Room Service I was unable to get any room service at this hotel on the night of March 29, 2014. Room Service did not answer the phone; front desk/concierge said Room Service would call me back and they did not. despite several follow-up calls from me. Very disappointing and unacceptable. 02 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location My husband and daughter had to go to convention and I went along for the trip. This hotel is wonderful place to stay, staff, rooms, restaurant/ bar and location is excellent. Perfect for my husband and daughter to go to convention no need to walk out side they walked from inside hotel right to convention centre and for myself took walk paths from hotel to subway never had step outside in the cold weather. Would stay here again for business or pleasure. 02 April 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great room I had a great time here after the Maple Leafs lost the game! It was very comforting! Will definetly stay there again. Only disappointment was not having breakfast included in price we paid! 02 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location & staff Stayed two nights for a conference. So convenient. Clean, well appointed rooms, great staff. Restaurant staff and food also top notch. 02 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Place Except Parking This is a good place to stay downtown. Parking is very expensive. It is better to park at the Toronto Conference center parking. A parking pass is available for $14 valid for 24-hours in and outt multiple times. The beds are too soft for my taste. I would prefer harder beds. 01 April 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Room was large and spacious with great views of the water. Staff was curteous and helpful. Only negative was the room wasn't ready at the advertised check-in time, but it wasn't too much later before I received a call saying it was ready. As always, great experience. 01 April 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Much Needed My kids and I enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental Hotel...their pool and spa area was so relaxing...definitely going back. 29 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay in downtown Toronto I enjoyed every part of my stay, I was greeted and treated like a cherished guest, even though it was my first stay there. I booked a spa service prior to my arrival and again I was delighted with how I was received, treated and papmpered! Amazing staff!!!! 24 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff & Great Stay ! As an executive with a large company, for the last 30 years , I have travelled extensively in Canada and internationally on business and rarely provide comments . However I am compelled to in this case given the excellent stay at this hotel recently and staff who went the extra mile to help me find a missing ring I left in the hotel when checking out and then arranged to send it to the airport so I could retrieve it before my flight. On another occasion because the restaurant was closed for a function ,staff helped me access other facilities to hold my business discussions . The hotel should be proud of how it provides service to the business traveller . I look forward to many more stays at this hotel and will provide guidance to my many colleagues to do the same. 24 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Initially sterile decor but the staff are the warmth beside the fire! Back for Caribanna 2014. Looking forward to the same staff warmth during festival time! Elly 23 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Great Hotel My friend and I had an excellent time while staying at the intercontinental Hotel. You had a package deal, of which we could afford. On our return to the hotel, from Canada Blooms, we found Torontos new aquarium. Of which we went to, on our departure day. A great way to end our adventure to Toronto. 22 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great quality and location We chose this hotel for it's location as we were going to the Rogers Centre, Aquarium and CN Tower. We travelled with our son. The room was very nice and we had a view of the CN Tower. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub during our short stay. Our son loves the hotel experience, so we ordered room service for lunch and dinner. It was excellent. I'm not used to room service food being so good. We had requested a later checkout (by one hour) and this was not an issue. I would definitely stay here again, whether or business or for pleasure. 20 March 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Expected better, pool was good, but restaurant was way too expensive Room was average...nothing spectacular. There needed to be a light above the nook where the coffee machine and bar fridge were located. It was too dark to see what I was doing and ended up spilling water all over the place. There was only 1 regular coffee packet for 2 adults. The other packet was decaf only. Items in the bar fridge were way too expensive...$5 for a bottle of water, $5 for a small sized chocolate bar, c'mon!!! There was only 1 garbage can in the bathroom, non out in the main room. The beds were cheap, tipped over if you sat on the corner of them. The curtains didn't completely cover the windows Parking was very expensive - $54 for an overnight stay. The restaurant was empty for all 3 mealtimes. it's no wonder, as it was crazy expensive - $17 for 2 eggs at breakfast. There was no kids menu. They had a March Break family package for an extra $80 per night - all you got for that price was a movie in the kids play room, a kids goody bag and free breakfast for 2. The pool was nice - we made good use of it and the kids liked it. It could have been a little bit warmer, however. The kiddie pool was the perfect depth for toddler. It was clean and well kept. The location of the hotel was good...located close to CN Tower, Aquarium, Rogers Centre, ACC 19 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by luxurious hotel with great amenities Hotel located near union station and good restaurants, a good walk from the Eaton Center. The bathroom needs a fan and the one mattress is lumpy, but otherwise the entertainment systems and accommodations are great. The little extras on the intercontinental floor made for an added plus during the weekend. 19 March 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing My husband and I were very disappointed with this hotel. The check-in was very slow, the pool was closed, the room furniture was scuffed and worn looking, the Kurig machine did not work (and when it finally did only one k-cup was provided), the ventilation system was noisy, the soap was flaky and fell apart. As a result of these and other annoyances I may not choose this hotel again if given a choice. If we were staying for more than a night, I would have contacted the front desk about these issues. The staff were very helpful, so I am sure some of the issues may have been resolved. It just wasn't worth the effort (nor did I have the time) this time. 19 March 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Concierge service Your concierge Sherine is the only person who,was helpful and got our needs looked after! At checkin I asked and was willing to pay for an upgrade! I asked for a balcony....I was told there were NO balconies in your hotel....not true! I then asked for a club level and was told that I would have to booked that prior to my checkin...again I was more than willing to pay for this upgrade. I was given 2027 an updated room!......the fan did not work on the heating system...the bar frig was also not working....there are stains on the carpet and the bath tub had hair in it! Had I only been staying for one night I might have just settled because the view was nice...however I was there for 5 nights...I asked that the problems be solved the first day by a front desk staff....they were not..the next day I asked the concierge to look into it and she did...called me on my cell and said they were to her knowledge.....the next day in tears I asked to be moved from that room as both my husband and I were so stuffed up from the fan not working we couldn't take it anymore. We are back next week for 3 more nights .... Yikes! 17 March 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Location is great for convention center, CN tower, aquarium, convention center, Jays and Leafs and Raptors games...lots of restaurants had some noisy people above during one night's stay...pool is nice, but could be larger to accommodate more people...concierge is good....go for the $27 self-park as it worked well over the $45 valet... great hotel, but perhaps premium instead of luxury? 17 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 New Renovations have flair with extreme modern decor Our recent stay at your hotel was great. We enjoyed all the accommodations, services and attractions available within and close to the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to all visitors. 16 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent customer service All the staff are excellent. Our check in was a breeze with Yazim( I hope I got that right). Although he was training a new staff he was ver friendly and very helpful. He helped us out right away with all our needs. The trainee (forgot her name) was very sweet too. Next was the waitress at Azure, she was an older lady( can't remember her name again), she was helpful and knowledgable with our menu questions. There was also this cleaning lady at the pool who offered to turn on the jets for us at the hot tub. That was very nice of her. All in all service was excellent. Breakfast buffet was excellent. This is probably our third time spending March break at intercontinental and it was an excellent experience. We bonded as a family and enjoyed our stay. Already looking forward to the next time. 16 March 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solved Problems During the lead up to my stay I had experienced some logistical issues with changing my booking. Having expressed my concerns to the hotel staff it was quickly resolved and I came away feeling as though they cared. Much appreciated and I will be back! 16 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stellar All Around Stayed there one night when passing through TO. I arrived rather late due to several flight delays but upon the first step into the hotel all returned to nice and calm. The facility and staff meet the definition of a Grade A Intercontinental Hotel: great location, friendly staff and excellent facilities. All and all a great place to stay whilst in TO. The only thing that needs to improve (and is beyond the hotel's control) is completion of the significant roadwork in front of Union Station two blocks down. 14 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very customer-focused, wonderful hotel Absolutely top notch! Great in room amenities. Lovely large rooms, great views. Staff were very helpful. Great location for business, dining, shopping or a visit to the aquarium. Our first visit to this hotel. We frequently travel to Toronto, and will definitely return to this hotel. 13 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Location and comfort I had a nice stay recently. Loved the location, walking distance to everything I wanted to during my stay. The room was comfortable and clean. After I had a issue with another guest due to excessive noise the management swiftly took care of the problem. The hotel is big enough but also felt intimate. 13 March 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by BE CAREFUL AT THIS HOTEL I won't comment on the fact that the hotel floor I was on was very run down..because they are soon to renovate it and I won't get into details about how the TVs barely work because we weren't there to watch tv and I won't get into details about the fact that the room next to us had a party with 20+ guests until 6 am because before the party started those guests came to see us and explained they were throwing a party. I won't even mention that the hotel has ZERO vending machines or store for snacks on site, because we are watching what we eat anyways. But what I will go into detail about is how a 500 dollar camera was stolen from my locked room and how hotel security was found trying to search my hotel when they thought I wasn't in the room. The second night of our stay I went to the pool..realized I forgot something so went back to my room, I could hear someone opening my door so I went to see who it was a young asian who apparently is one of the security guys. I asked him if I could help him, he acted very nervous and stunned and says he was there looking for something the previous guest left behind..he said "clothes or something" (his exact words). I said are you sure you're not here for the heater? because I called downstairs for that..he said no I'm not..but Ill let maintenance know..he turned around and LEFT. Never asked me if I seen the items..nor did he look for the items..he TURNED AND LEFT. When Im leaving the hotel the next day I realize my Nikon camera is gone. I report my stolen camera and ask the security manager about the odd behaviour of one of his staff and asked what he was looking for in my room saturday night...he told me he couldn't find any information documented on lost items that a previous guest reported..and that he would investigate further. I later get a call and there defence to me was that "apparently" a guest contacted the hotel said she forgot something in room 317..but his security guard realized there was no room 317 when he got to my he just decided that he should check room 314(my room) for her stuff. (btw Intercontinental security staff, there is other numbers between 317 and 314, just saying) he said that when he seen me in the room he realized that maybe he shouldn't check 314 for items missing in room 317(brilliant deduction Einstein) and said that later he found out the guest thought she was calling the wrong hotel and thats why there was no record of her call documented. I don't think Ive ever heard bull***t piled so high. Feel free to stay here if you don't have ANYTHING of any value because I think security is watching who walks in with what..and searches your room when they see you are at dinner or the pool. The fact that the head of security could call a me and with a straight face say "my security guard checked room 314 for things left behind in room 317"..implies to me that this is not a one person operation. This happened 3 days ago..I was informed by head of security that the young asian that came to my room last saturday night to search for forgotten items from room 317 got a promotion this morning. (things that make you go hmm) The location is great if your going to the convention centre..but DONT go here if you have anything of value. When I first reported the theft..before I was passed on to the head of security I was told that they were getting a lot of complainants lately about thefts. 13 March 2014
