This was my 3rd recent visit in a row where the TV was wonky. This time it kept turning on all night long about every 20 minutes. Ridiculous.
Front desk staff especially Mark (Mike?) is excellent.

Don’t Stay At IHG Properties

Comfortable clean bed and room. But my TV didn’t work, again !!!! And worse, the TV kept blinking on every 20 minutes all night long making sleep nearly impossible. Crazy. I asked for a credit or points but IHG’d customer service is terrible, and they believe they are superior to their riff-raff customers. They need to learn it’s modern times; studying Google, Starbucks, Amazon customer service excellence would be a great idea. The customer is always right. I’d probably use exclusively IHG and highly recommend it to one and all. But at some point when I no longer need this recent location, I’ll stop using all IHG properties and frankly badmouth them to any and all, especially my social media and big media connections. Shame. Life’s to short to deal with such Neanderthal management.

Small bird that has everything that a big hotel offers. No complaints whatsoever. Recommended to everyone needs a value option in Brooklyn.

The hotel was very clean, cozy, and well kept..I only gave it a 4 star for two reasons. Noise is one and not outside street noise but noise within the hotel nothing is sound proof at all. You will hear every door close (slam) and conversation being had within 50 ft of your room and in the hallway. Secondly if you drive parking can be pretty tight and I was informed hotel parking was an additional 30 dollars per night but you couldn’t come and go as you please and I just found that kind of ridiculous. Overall though the hotel was great the issues I had were very minor it’s in a decent area 10 minute walk from the R train which is a straight shot to the city if need be would definitely stay again

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and I’m impressed by how flexible and understanding the reservations department and front desk staff was.
I couldn’t stay the total number of nights I was supposed to due to a meeting cancellation and they were very flexible and understanding; they did not charge me for the night I didn’t use and allowed me to check out after the required time so I could go get all my belongings.
The hotel is very clean and offers great breakfast options. It is also conveniently located in a nice area.
All personnel is great, friendly and polite.
I highly recommend the Avid Hotel in Brooklyn

My only complaint is about the television service. It did not offer local stations (CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox) or industry standard news networks (CNN Fox News)

Family and friends all stayed at the Avid for a relative's funeral services. The rooms were small but very clean, quiet and comfortable The common area was very accommodating for gathering before and after the services. There were excellent lunch and dinner venues across the street. Excellent friendly and helpful staff in spite of a very demanding crowd.
