Unreliable check in and airport shuttle

Don’t count on the airport shuttle there is a good chance it doesn’t have a driver and is just a parked car

The shuttle driver Jose was very helpful and informative in things to do in the area! Alex accommodated my request for early check in and that made the world of difference in getting my day started. Alex was friendly and welcoming!

Always a clean, comfortable room.

Ive stayed at two Avid hotels in Florida and both are great. Exactly what i needed. Clean rooms, great beds and AC that works! No waking up at 2 am to lower the thermostat like at some hotels. Breakfast(s) were better in Vierra Avid but both are just fine.

This was not my first stay it was close to the site that I was working at and even better close to the airport. When I travel to Orlando the first thing I check for is an IGH property. Most of my trips are last minute so it makes it great being a member.

Good Hotel - Poor Staff

Upon arrival found check-in clerk lounging on a couch flipping through her cellphone. I asked if I could check-in. She reluctantly put her phone down and checked me in. Did not recognize I was an IHG Rewards Club member. I went up to room. Came back down and asked to use the computer in the "business section". She said "Yes". Despite trying, couldn't get either of two computers to work. I asked if she knew why both the computers were not working. She said "Guess they don't work". I asked if they were down all day and she said "I don't know". I asked if she was going to call to get them fixed and she said "Not tonight". I asked for her name and she replied "I don't have one". I then asked for the name and contact number of the hotel manager and she said "I don't know it". Very poor representative of AVID or any company for that matter. She is a discredit to both AVID and IHG.

Arrived at hotel and clerk was sitting on couch flipping through their cellphone. I asked her if she could check me in. She reluctantly put her phone down and checked me in. Went to room. Good room. Went down to lobby to use the computer. Tried two computers. Both would not work. Asked clerk to show me how to use them in case I wasn't doing something right for these computers. She said :"I guess they don't work". I asked why both don't work, she said she doesn't know. I asked if she knew how long they were not working. She said "No". I asked if she could get them fixed. She said "Not tonight". I said these may have been down all day, and you didn't know it. She said "Sorry". I asked for her name and she said "I don't have a name". I said I would like the name and contact information of the hotel manager. She said "I don't know it". I told her I fully intend to report her laziness, lack of customer care, flippant attitude, and basic rudeness. Worst IHG employee I have run into in all the hotels I have stayed in. A discredit to AVID and IHG.
