My family stayed here for 2 nights during the week. Check in was easy, as was check out. Our room was clean and had everything we needed and more. The bathroom had all Dove liquid products: hand wash, body lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. There was also a blow dryer, iron, ironing board and small fridge.
There was coffee and hot water available 24hrs hours in the lobby, as well as an ice machine and water dispenser. Breakfast was top notch with a variety of hot and cold options along with fresh fruit and fruit juices.
We highly recommend this property and will be booking again in the future.

We were impressed by how clean and bright hotel was. Staff were great. My only complaint really was every other day was the same breakfast. We stayed for 10 days.

We picked this hotel based on proximity to Canada's Wonderland (drive time less than 30 minutes). It provided everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The beds were comfortable, the pool was refreshing and breakfast was great! Our only complaint was the road noise, it took a night to get used to it and sleep through most of it.

Potential Electrocution Hazard in Room 321

My family and I stayed in Room 321 last weekend for one night and had a horrific experience at the Avid hotel in Vaughan. My husband was taking a shower when all of a sudden, water started POURING out of the pot light above him and yes, the pot light was on, posing a serious electrocution risk. He then had to get out of the shower early and tried to call down to front desk but couldn’t reach anyone. As a result, only half of our family members ended up being able to shower after three days of travel. The manager of the hotel admitted that the exact same thing had happened in the past in a different room, on a different level which was in contrast to the person at the front desk who seemed unsurprised but claimed that he had never heard of this happening before. We suspect there had been previous water related incidents in our room because the video clearly shows a large water stain on the ceiling close to the pot light.
The GM of the hotel was incredibly defensive and rude about the situation and tried to gaslight me, saying that there was zero electrocution risk because all of their wiring meets standards. Obviously this isn’t true and I confirmed with the Ontario ESA that this situation poses a serious potential risk to guests. They told me it warrants an investigation - water and electricity should NEVER mix! Love that there is no carpet in the rooms. Very clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast was good as well and coffee throughout the day is a plus. The lobby is spacious and open so it never felt crowded.
