越秀公園

Yuexiu Park is the largest park in downtown Guangzhou. Covering an area of 860,000 square meters (212.5 acres), the park is made up of three artificial lakes and seven hills which belong to Yuexiu Mountain, hence the name Yuexiu Park.

Located in northeast of downtown Guangzhou, the Baiyun Mountain covers a total area of 20.98 square kilometers and is a national grade AAAAA scenic area and the only national scenic area in Guangzhou. As a well-known mountain in south Guangdong, the mountain has been given the title of “the most beautiful mountain in Guangzhou” since ancient times. Its highest peak, Moxing Ridge, stands 382m above sea level.

FRIENDSHIP THEATER

Friendship Theater was built in 1965, and for most of its history was known as the largest and most famous theater in Guangdong, even building a following overseas. SUN YAT-SEN MEMORIAL HALL

Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, situated on the southern slope of Yuexiu Hill, was constructed between 1929 and 1931, a monument to Dr Sun Yat-sen. The hall, a grand octagon building of typical Chinese architectural style reconstruction in 1998. The masterpiece of architecture history is created with a span of 71 meters without a pillar but significant outlooks and delicate interior designs. As an important place for conferences and performances, it can hold thousands of people with sound equipment.

MUSEUM OF THE TOMB OF NANYUE KING IN XIHAN DYNASTY

Located on Jiefang Bei Road, Guangzhou, the Western Han Dynasty Nanyue King Mausoleum Museum is the oldest and largest Han tomb with the most funerary objects in Lingnan (South of the Nanling Mountain) Area. HUANGHUAGANG MAUSOLEUM OF 72 MARTYRS

No. 79, Xianlie Road Middle, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong

Huanghuagang 72 Martyrs' Cemetery was built by oversea Chinese to commemorate the martyrs sacrificed in the Guangzhou Uprising of the revolutionary party led by Mr. Huang Xing in 1911. On the arch of the gateway, it is the inscription "A Noble Spirit Will Never Perish" written by Sun Yat-sen. Along the 230m path leading to the tomb grow evergreen cypresses and yellow flowers. Behind the pool and stone arch bridge is the tombstone of the Mausoleum to 72 Martyrs.
