Good option for Downtown Cairo

Hotel doesn't meet the high standards we have know IHG to uphold. Location: excellent location. you can walk along the Nile, walk to attractions like Khalil Market, Islamic Cairo. Take a metro to [更多] Coptic Cairo. Staff: Friendly staff and good service Room Condition: Older rooms, but housekeeping does a good job and keeps them clean. The hotel should upgrade to double pane glass doors, esp. for the balcony. Noise: there is road noise everywhere in Cairo, so we had already expected that. But in this case the hotel is a source for even more noise! the Nile facing room will get loud noise from the music playing on the 4th floor by the hotel pool. During our stay the music went well past bedtime. in addition, the room next door to us played music very very loud and were talking very loudly. We could not sleep till 2-3 am. We called the hotel security at around midnight. they came up and spoke to the room, noise went down a little, but not enough to allow us to sleep. [更少]

Great service and beautiful ambiance

We stayed at Semiramis for 3 nights and each night was memorable. The view of the Nile is gorgeous day and night. The restaurant staff were kind and the food options were delicious. A little annoying [更多] having to go through security screening every time we entered, but I guess I understand the safety concerns. [更少]
