Who doesn't know them: the Bremen Town Musicians. The four daredevil animals are the heroes of the world-famous fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm and have long since become a landmark of the city of Bremen. The two-metre-high bronze statue of the donkey, dog, cat and rooster is located on the left, western side of the town hall.

The Schnoorviertel is Bremen's oldest district with listed houses, narrow alleys and nooks. The old town quarter owes its name to the many small houses and shops that line up like a string. For "Schnoor" is Low German and means "string". Stroll past the numerous shops, restaurants and cafés and enjoy the cosy, quaint atmosphere.

The Schlachte refers to the Weser promenade, which is located in the middle of Bremen and directly on the Weser. With its maritime flair and numerous gastronomic offerings, it is the meeting place for young and old, residents and tourists. The term "Schlachte" goes back to the Low German word "Slait", used to describe the pole-like structures that served to fortify the banks of the Weser in the 13th century.
