Although on an Army Base with limited access, when on Post, this is a great hotel.
A bit of an older property, but very well maintained, and very clean.
The staff are great, friendly and professional, always with a Hi or How are you doing...........
The breakfast, well, it's a hotel buffet breakfast, a few choices, but, the food is well made and the area is squeaky clean.

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, Fort Belvoir, several times in the past few months. We like the security of the on base location as well as access to base facilities. The hotel is basic but clean, comfortable and well kept. Breakfast is very good, omelets, muffins, cereals. Staff is attentive, friendly, helpful. Parking across the street, short walk. Pet friendly! If you can access the base, give this place a try.

The overall experience was good, however I believe the pet fee is too high. The fact that someone with small animals have to pay $75 per pet no matter what type or size I think is just not acceptable. I could see a pet fee of $50 for the entire stay but not the $75 per pet that we had to pay when we had two cats. We will not be staying at this one again.

We visited this past weekend to see my son that is stationed on base. Would definitely recommend. The hotel was very clean, staff was great and the bed was probably the best hotel bed I've ever slept on

This place may be run by Holiday Inn, but it just an old officers barracks. It is definitely not the Holiday Inn that you get out in town.
The staff was very nice. Breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable.
The parking lot is ridiculous. Handicap spaces are not close and regular spaces are spread out across the road. There are loading and unloading spots in the driveway where people park overnight even though there are signs. Be prepared for a walk.
The room itself was fine except for the a/c. I had to turn the temp all the way down to get it to come on. It was extremely loud and cycled on and off in 5 min. intervals all night.
The bathroom was a treat. Old tub with a shower curtain that doesn't cover from end to end. The "kiddie" size toilet has a power flush that will wake up everyone in the room (and the neighbors). I am not a extremely large person. You will have to wedge yourself between the toilet paper holder and the sink. Just lean to the right to pull the paper off the roll. Oh, and there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, so... fun for all.
If you just need a room and are former military with low expectations, it works fine. If you want a nice comfortable place to relax, this isn't it.

I had a two night stay recently and found BOTH properties to be extremely clean and well kept. From the General Manager (ShabiKhan) to the Housekeeping team the staff was FANTASTIC. Thank you all for providing a comfortable stay while on Ft Belvoir.

Room very warm on arrival, took quite a while to cool down. Then fine. Only ice machine very hard to find, in the laundry area. Have ice on each floor. Beds good, room clean, adequate amenities. Satisfying breakfast. Staff very friendly.
