Uncomfortable bed & pillows, no fitness centre, lovely staff

Bed and pillows are uncomfortable. Implies a fitness centre on the website but doesn’t exist. David Lloyd next door but this is for members only. No fitness facilities at all. Lack of information in the room (meal times, contact numbers for reception, menus etc)

A very welcoming hotel . Lovely large rooms and very attentive staff. Dines in the restaurant - excellent.
My only negative comment is they charge guests £7.50 per night to park on their car park !

I had a wonderful vacation with my family thanks to the hotel's eco-friendly atmosphere, interior that gave off a traditional British vibe, and friendly staff.

I've stayed at the hotel on multiple occasions over the past few months, and I am always impressed by the welcoming and helpful attitudes of the staff.
I was checked in by Heet who has been excellent every time I've interacted with him. He was very helpful in accommodating room preferences at check-in, and went above and beyond to make my stay as good as possible.
I regularly order food from the bar, and again I'm consistently impressed by the staff (though unfortunately I cannot remember all their names).

We stayed at the Voco Hitel for a friends wedding and could not have been more impressed with the hotel, its surroundings and the staff.
We arrived 3 hours before check in and the staff did everything to accommodate the large number of us wanting to check in early as the wedding was at 1pm.
EVERY SINGLE member of staff we met were friendly, polite, helpful and seemed to genuinely care that we enjoyed ourselves.
The organisation of the wedding was outstanding.
The food was superb for dinner and the breakfast choices were excellent.
We will definitely stay in this hotel again if we are in Oxford and we would highly recommend it.

I’ve stayed in lots and lots of hotels across the years but have never come across a team where the staff have been so consistently helpful and welcoming. From the initial check in where Heet was enormously friendly, through all of the restaurant staff and the housekeeping team everyone we met impressed us. A genuinely exceptional experience.

We had a lovely overnight stay for a dinner dance. The room was immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. Fantastic breakfast - one of the best we have had. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing couples break.

I have stayed in a few hotels around Oxford now & this one is by far the top of my list for re-booking. I received a sincere welcome from all the staff, my room was extremely comfy with a seating area that was perfect for in room dining. The lockers in the leisure/spa changing rooms use a code, no coins needed, which is a big plus & the opening hours are good. The room service food options were the best I have come across recently & my supper was delivered ahead of the expected timeframe. Nice touches in the room eg, lovely smelling toiletries, pretty mugs & a large glass bottle of water in a fridge! All excellent. There are also signs to an orchard, tennis court & gardens although I did not have time to explore them as I was enjoying the swimming pool!

Friendly welcoming and helpful staff, set in beautiful grounds, spotlessly clean, spacious guest room with our own balcony, very comfortable bed, fantastic food.
We came for an organised weekend event and couldn't have hoped for anything better. Will definitely return!

We were a group of 8 friends attending Oxford Thames and it our stay was just beautiful. Spacious rooms with comfy beds, attentive, knowledgeable and welcoming staff and clean, good quality facilities created for a perfect stay. Incredible value for money and that is why I shall definitely be returning and telling everybody who visits Oxford this is the place to go.

On arrival Daniela couldn't have been any more accommodating, she clearly went above and beyond, giving her genuine advise of where to visit, how to get to Oxford and even providing recommendations on walking tours.
When we entered our room, it was lovely we had a 1dt year anniversary letter and some chocolates on our bed wishing us a great staym
The room had plenty of space, was clean and couldn't complain about house keeping. Our only potential grumble was the pillows were to soft (personal preference).
The grounds were nice and well looked afte, we caught the bus.for days out to Oxford and the bus stop was directly outside the hotel.
We found breakfast had pletyiful selection fo with a great view of the river, although I sometimes found some items a bit cool - but staff were. Superb and clearing up and restocking of utilities and food.
We only had dinner once and this was on our last night, (other nights wanted to sample and stay oxford area etc) this was in the bar area and not restaurant, The dinner selection was nice and served hot, my wife however found her order slightly over cooked (this wasnt raised as not a big issue) whilst I found my order fine with no complaints
We went to the gym and pool only the once, (last evening) my wife found the pool a bit.on the cool side although this may have been to our being out all day. The guy on gym/pool was very accommodating providing a robe. The gym was a good setup with cardio in one room and weights in another over all ok selection of bits.
Pool,sauna and steam room and changing rooms were clean and over all couldn't be happier
Would recommend and come again.
