Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very accomodating I make the trip several times a year and always stop at the Candlewood Suites. We travel with dogs and I always get a room on the first floor and while I don't leave them alone in the room when we go out, they offer to check in on them if they bark too much. They are very dog friendly and so far, have no pet fee. The room is clean and there are several restaurants that deliver, but there are also several within walking distance. There is an indoor pool, though I have never used it...the one thing I would fault them on, is to have all kids out of the pool by 8 PM...last time, there were so many kids late at night, I couldn't go even if I wanted to. Laundry is free and there is a small gym too. I wish they had breakfast in the AM. Then it would be almost perfect. You do need quite a few stays to garner enough points for a free room. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not all Candlewood Suites are created equal We were en route from Vermont to Florida and took advantage of the IHG App to ensure a room for an overnight stop, simple, effortless until we arrived some two hours later c 4;15 to find the receptionist in some confusion as to which room was available. 211 wasn't ready no rooms on 3rd floor because "we are filling up" 111 available ok. I expressed concern about being disturbed by noise from the reception area and from above but was assured i would not be inconvenienced and accepted the room by which time 211 was available, but not offered. The room with respect to cleanliness and amenities provided could not be faulted and comfortably met the high standards I have grown to expect from Candlewood Suites. The assurances of a disturbance free night from the receptionist were ill-founded, there was constant noise from reception area, it appears that Wednesday night is IHG appreciation night (an oxymoron as it transpired at least for this IHG member) where the management with good intent provide food and a keg of beer gratis in the lobby for their guests. Great idea until some guests get raucous and you happen to occupy room 111. A good night was not had by all. In conclusion: The room facilities are everything you wish and expect Do not arrive before 5pm Never accept room 111 or any other proximate to the lobby unless you are desperate and can sleep through a heavy-metal concert Book ahead by at least a week ,the same day is an exercise in futility If you are a platinum IHG member don't expect to be really appreciated on a Wednesday. Insist on the 3rd floor if you can December 22, 2014
