Very rude front desk staff - takes one bad apple to ruin it

The front desk staff that I spoke with told me misinformation - one gentleman, who was actually helpful and pleasant and very welcoming had advised me at check in that I get a complimentary breakfast with my rate package. I went to breakfast, the server was asking about tickets for breakfast and I advised her that I was never given any. I immediately went to the front desk to figure out what's going on. The lady had a name tag that she was in training but she was very rude to me, talked to me like I was a complete idiot and kept yelling that I actually have a really cheap hotel rate and am not entitled to the complimentary breakfast that the previous boy had told me about. She had a very bad demeanor, didn't listen to my concerns, refused to get the manager. I finally got the breakfast ticket thrown at me since there were more customers seeing my frustration and how upset I was. After that situation, no one bothered to apologize or try to make it any better. I ended up having to wait in the lobby a little bit and I overheard nasty, rude, unprofessional comments that were most definitely aimed at me among some of the employees. I work in customer service and am beyond appalled by this.

Excellent Property

Great location. Very good food both in the restaurant and bar and room service. Room service attendants were exceptionally friendly and service was right on time.
Overall an excellent property, staff through out the hotel were very friendly and helpful. This was my second stay at this hotel in two years and both times it was very pleasant, will be back in this area again soon and will stay here again.

Nice rooms. Attentive staff

I try to stay at this hotel several times a year when I have business nearby. Hotel has nice amenities (small bar/lounge and restaurant that I occasionally use). Staff are always courteous and attentive. The rooms are nice (with comfortable beds and pillows). I tend to prefer using the IHG family of hotels (since I use the 'points' for personal trips with family) and Crowne Plaza's are typically a decent step in quality above the other hotels in this group.
