I would not hesitate to utlize and recommend the hotel too other people traveling too St. Louis for business or pleasure.

St. Louis Crowne Plaza absolutely terrible

Other then a comfortable bed this is without a double the worst Crowne Plaza I have ever had the misfortune of staying at. From check in to check out the service was ridiculous, I would get rid of the lot and start from scratch. I was staying there as part of a national convention and there was not one person that had anything good to say about their stay. Rooms were either freezing cold or unbearably hot. Mine was hot, and when I called the front desk I was told that I was on the 24th floor and did I not realize that heat rises. I had not towels in my room upon check in, one of the lights above my vanity was burnt out for the 5 days I was there. The staff in the restaurant at night had no service skills whatever. I knew I was in trouble when the waiter started the conversation with, "you want a drink" The poor couple at the next table asked 4 times for the beverage before the waiter got it right. Honestly how are is 2 hot teas with honey and lemon to get right.
I originally had several groups booked into this hotel that I have now cancelled. Avoid this hotel, stay anywhere but here. When I spoke with the sales manager, he left two bottle of water in the hallway outside my room and 2 continental breakfast coupons (not even full buffet) I guess he didn't think my complaints were justified. Anyone reading this review, please realize that I have been in the Travel and Tourism business for 25 years and it is my job to evaluate hotels.

While this property is ideally located near the convention center and many of St. Louis' attraction, it is in need of a upgrade. Housekeeping was slack #room wasn't cleaned one day, dirty cleaning towels left in bath tub, etc#. Bar has been closed. No way to adjust the heat ion the room,

Room was a Sauna

This location was great for our conference and the hotel staff were very nice and attentive. However, our room was so hot that we called it our own personal sauna. We slept with our windows open while the temperature was in the teens outside and we still burnt up. They need to spend monies and update their HVAC system because it is very antiquated. Not sure how it is in the summer but in the winter, I would look elsewhere.

I'm sorry that you were not comfortable during your stay with us. This is an older hotel and we certainly have our challenges with the HVAC system. We are currently undergoing many exciting changes and the HVAC system will be addressed. I hope you will check us out in the future.
