The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. We like this hotel because it is convenient to 295, Greenbelt Road and the beltway, but far enough off the main roads to feel peaceful and quiet.

I was there for a family reunion. Relaxation was not really on the agenda. I was most appreciative of the fact that my little group of six was able to get two adjoining rooms. We could communicate freely back and forth without difficulty.
There were plenty of towels and toiletries. I liked the ability to dial from room to room, as relatives were contacted frequently. The breakfast on Sunday morning was excellent.

Enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Greenbelt. This is a great location to get around to the DC area. Greenbelt has a lot to offer and convenient to the metro. I have stayed here in the past several times...and plan on coming back soon.

I was very surprised when I arrived at this hotel. I had called ahead of time to let the front desk know we would be arriving around 1 am and could they please ensure that the crib we had already requested was placed in the room. The woman on the phone assured me that the crib would be there.
Come 1:30 am, we pull up to the hotel and are greeted by 2 police cars and what appears to be a night club going on the main floor of the hotel. The music was blaring and I had to wait for a solid 10-15 minutes behind 1 man who was checking in - the concierge was in no hurry to see me. When I finally was seen I inquired about the music I said, "is this some kind of club/bar??" The man at the front desk very rudely stared me down for about 30 seconds as if I was insulting him and said "Yeah? You're welcome to join in if that's what you want". Now, it's 1:30 in the morning and I'm holding my sleeping 2 year old in my arms and holding the hand of my 5 year old - So I really don't think that, that response was appropriate. I told him that I was really tired, obviously, and I just want a quiet hotel. When I book a hotel, I do not expect to find a loud night club with a police presence. To say I felt unsafe is a gross understatement. I asked why the police were there and I got another dumbfounded look from the man at the front desk as he responded "ummm for security?!". Now, call me crazy but shouldn't a hotel be a quiet place that doesn't regularly host events that require police-level security?!?
In the end, I just took my room key which was not set up in advance despite it being fully paid for, and rushed to my room with my children - forgetting that I had booked a room that included a $25 gas gift card and clearly the man at the front desk didn't care to remind me. And of course, once I arrived at my room the aforementioned crib was no where to be seen. So I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for that to show up so I could finally put my daughter to bed properly. All in all, a horrible experience and I would actively warn anyone off from using that hotel in the future.
