Having stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions I was disappointed to find an issue with the bathroom ceiling and cleanliness, however when I brought it to the attention of reception staff she acted upon it immediately and I was moved to another room which was a suite.
This room was of the usual standard I expect at this hotel and my night was comfortable.
The breakfast had a good choice and service overall was very good.
It is a convenient location just off the M1, but just out of range of the noise if you are at the back of the hotel, at the front can be a little noisy from the dual carriageway at the front.
It is a little high on price in comparison with better IHG I have stayed in and I hope there are renovations on the cards soon!

We stayed just one night, breaking a long journey and were very pleased with our choice. We had not stayed at this particular Holiday Inn before but were pleased to see that it came up to the standard you should expect from a Holiday Inn. Couldn't fault it on any aspect.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Pleasantly surprised but could be better
I stayed with my wife, daughter and grandson for one night B&B. The room was very large and spacious - a corporate king room. It looked to the front of the hotel and while one window blocked out the traffic noise, the other double glazed unit did not. The result, there was a background noise that should not have been there. The air con was working well. The bath panel was looking the worse for ware. The leisure facilities were good and my grandson played in the children's pool. The attendant, a young lady, was most helpful.On asking for ice in the evening from the bar, my wife was told that there were no more ice buckets available and was given a wine glass with ice in it instead. Not really what we wanted. Breakfast was a little disappointing. the pancakes, cold meat and cheese present at my last Holiday Inn stay two weeks previously was missing. Check in was slow due to only one receptionist and she was having to deal with a protracted telephone call. Check out was swift but we were not asked how our stay had been.
