I had an initial bad experience with billing for this location. It was corrected and I wanted to stay again to see if that was an anomaly. Overall excellent stay.

Front desk was super nice. But something was messed up during check in and I was charged an additional $550 dollars. My company does a lot of business close so i know will be staying there again I just hope this doesn't happen on my next stay.

This place has raised a red flag and I seriously doubt that I will stay there again...maybe not at an IHG property again. Be careful of what you use to pay with at this location.
Background: I checked in on 5/6/ 2015. Reservation was for one night. They confirmed this. The room was great and I did enjoy the property; however, the next day, 5/7/2015, I found what appeared to be an extra room charge on my bill for $178.85. So, I called but the clerk could provide no explanation and advised he didn't see charges but the additional charge of 178.85 would drop in 3-5 business days. (what?!!) I was at work and had to go to a meeting, so I checked early the next day.
Checked on 5/8/2015 and found an additional charge of 229.18 which brought total unauthorized charges to $403.03. The clerk at that time I may have made a reservation for more than one day and got charged for a no-show. I assured her that was not the case and they had confirmed my stay was for one night. She said she would need to let her manager check the next day.
I called on 5/9/2015 and asked for a manager. The person I spoke to explained that I had been charged for the one night and the other charges should be dropped in about 7 days (what?!!!).
I presently have no remedy that I can see to have through IHG because they conveniently state on the site that charges being disputed must be handled with the local hotel. I have to deal with issues of unauthorized charges and this chain can be making money/interest off of my funds while over charging me. During this call no explanation could be offered as to what happened, nor was there any ownership of the problem.
I have a great concern now doing business with this chain as one of their hotels has essentially withheld funds from my account (put a hold on it as if I owe them...) and cannot/will-not provide a satisfactory explanation of how this came about.

All of the Holiday Inns that I have stayed at have been run down. This was a great place! Clean rooms. Things weren't broken or moldy (north KC parvin rd). My ex-wife would not stay at a holiday inn because of the poor quality. I of course tried to prove her wrong but everytime came up short.
I really liked this place. Breakfast was good. Got up last do I didn't expect everything to be fresh, which it wasn't. The variety was great.
The bad things about staying here...,
The parking lot was tight even with the small car I had.
Called the 800 # for reservation. DO NOT DO THIS!!!!
They wanted to charge $200+ !! Called hotel and got it for $125 w/tax.
Only stayed one night but will return if I am back in the area.
