1, I was placed in a room (517) where it was not ready. There were used items on the floor like shoes, razor etc.
2. Flush in this room was not working.
After raising the issue, I was shifted to room 514. Next day morning, the there was water all over near fridge due to defrosting issue. All of my food in the fridge was drowning in water.
I again raised the issue and they got it fixed. I did raise all these issues and reception desk said they will talk to the manager. I did not hear anything from anyone and so I followed up with reception desk. There was new staff who had no clue what was going on. So he checked with manager (who was sitting inside). So it was decided that they will take 50% for one night and reimburse for pizza. However, when I got the final bill, there was no discount and I had to again remind them about the issue which was then corrected.

We were in Houston to visit one or our children and 3 of our grand children.
We were greeted with a friendly smile upon arrival, the room exceeded our expectations, the staff always greeted us with a smile and when the kids/grandkids came to visit, I took two of the grandkids to show them around the hotel, when we were at the front desk, the person at the desk was awesome in interacting with them (a 7 and 11 year old) ...
We liked the fact that the gates were closed and not accessible to non-guests after a certain hour, we have a fairly customized car and felt much more comfortable with it in the parking lot at this hotel.
Not only did they supply a good breakfast, there were places (What-a-burger, Cracker Barrel, Popeyes Chicken and more) within walking distance from the hotel if you wanted something close...
We really enjoyed our stay and if we were going to recommend a hotel to someone staying in the North Houston/Spring area ... this would definitely be the one...

We were catching a morning flight out of IAH. So we drove in and stayed overnight at this hotel.
It was comfortable, clean, and the staff was courteous and helpful.

This property was above my expectations. The staff was helpful and friendly. Close to interstate and plenty of walking distance restaurants.

Although I personally didn't have any problems, this hotel is in a neighborhood where they feel the need for the parking lot to be fenced and gated, using your room card for access after a certain hour. The front areas of the hotel were nice, but the room was very worn (bad paint on the bathroom door that wouldn't close, etc.), plus I had a roach crawl across my foot while shaving. One bright spot was the staff - they were as nice and professional as any I've ever seen.

This hotel was one of the best Holiday Inns we have stayed in. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and very professional. We were staying on reward points and definitely this hotel was worth more than the points required. When returning to Houston, we would definitely return to this hotel again!

Nice hotel with gated parking accessible by room key. Breakfast was above average for other Holiday Inn Expresses that I have stayed at.
This trip, we needed to use sofa bed in the suite and it was very uncomfortable as there were 2 bars and multiple cables criss crossing underneath. Bed would be suitable for a small child that could sleep crossways.

When I am in the area. I stay once a week at this location by airport. The staff is excellent. Good variety HBO channels and other channels. The convenient location is easy access to restauraunts and freeway access
