Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice facility, bad room view The overall facility is very nice, the room I got was awful the view was a doom of another building with noisy sounds of room service and cleaning in the early morning and some times late night. The occupancy wasn't full so I expected also to get an upgrade as Platinum Elite member but it ended with the doom view. I may visit it again but i'll check the room view before check in 18 August 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good but not great Our time in Jordan was amazing unlike our stay in the intercontinental. The hotel is just like any other endorsed chain of hotels. This would not be a problem if it was like the other 5 star chains but this felt more like a 4 star plus. The welcome to the hotel was not memorable. There was no cold towels and welcomed greetings. There was no body to open the door of the car as we arrived, this was a reoccurring theme. We were given 2 cups of coffee to share between a party of 4. The sharing of a cup is typical of Jordanian hospitality however coming from a western world we were slightly shocked. As we spent time in Jordan and spoke to the natives we understood, it was actually a nice gesture. Check in was easy and Bilal the receptionist was most helpful. He even managed to get us complimentary wifi for our 6 night stay. This is another concern, paying 15jd (just under £15)for 24 hours is not acceptable from a 5 star establishment that prizes itself on client comfort and luxurious experience. The bed in my room was springy and needed to be changed. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities one required. The complimentary water each day was particularly well received. The decor was slightly outdated but sufficient as one does not intend to stay in the hotel when visiting Jordan. The breakfast was good but lacked the grandeur of other Arab hotels in the Middle East. Nonetheless it was a good start to our daily morning excursions. Room service was good but expensive. The quality of food was also enjoyable. The concierge was helpful and was able to answer our queries. The hotel I am told is the best in Amman. I would recommend the hotel wholeheartedly however with some changes the hotel can truly become a 5 star establishment. 18 August 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Room smelled like smoke Room was booked as non-smoking, but entire wing and room itself smelled strongly of smoke. This was true of 5 other rooms in group. Reservation rate was negotiated in advance and was supposed to be a fixed rate, but that rate was only appied for 2 out of 10 nights. Other nights were much higher. Also 26% tax and service charge was applied. 13 August 2014
