Stayed in the first week of November 2014.
I must say that location of this resort is fantastic.
Right on the beach makes it ideal for leisure vacation.
Rooms are well kept, clean and tidy.
The only thing this hotel needs to work on is in the area of service .
The service has to become top notch to give customers that global intercontinental experience.
Would love to visit again, hopefully with better service levels next time.

The resort is fantastic. Staff are really friendly and attentive such as the chief concierge, restaurant manager, pool's bar staff. Nothing is too much. The bathroom especially was amazing. The resort has plenty to do including Kayak, pedalo, glass bottom boat, sauna,steam and zakuzi bath, at no extra cost (harder than it looks). The restaurants are all great, the pool is heated. CLEANLINESS of the entire hotel is impeccable. I would certainly recommend this hotel for people who just want to Chill out

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 fabulous experience in a great hotel
We had a fantastic stay in this great hotel last week. We were particularly impressed with the room overlooking the beach with beautiful sunsets every night. Our balcony and terrace (with jacuzzi) were brilliant and also offered us views of the mountains. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially everyone on reception. Kevin and Juan could not have been better hosts and solved some of our issues regarding dinner reservations quickly and effectively. We ended up having a really special meal on the beach at Noble House which was just perfect. The service we received there was outstanding, as was the food.
Thanks to all for a wonderful holiday... we'll be back soon!

Nice location, but far off from the city centre. Nice view and easy access to the beach. Transport out to anywhere can be quite expensive (2-way taxi to city is about 2,300 rupees if I recall correctly). Many food choices within the hotel, food is not bad but can be quite expensive (especially the restaurants). The main dining area is rather decent.
Good service standards with attentive and friendly staff. Rooms are cleaned very well daily and internet is awesome.

My wife and I stayed at the Intercon Mauritius for our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived and received our welcome cocktail to leaving the staff were really knowledgeable, attentive and friendly, especially the concierge team.
The only slight gripes were business centre only had one, slow, locked down PC (fortunately this was not a business trip for me so only was there once!). Unlike other IHG brands there was not a clublounge advertised on arrival.
The above is very minor however and pales when compared to the location where every angle is a postcard, the two pools, the sea to swim, sail, and kayak in. It was all perfect for our honeymoon.

Great location with excellent facilities. Rooms are spacious and well maintained by the staff. The beach was average, not highly conducive for swimming, but the surrounding area was excellent.
Five restaurants with variety of food. Senso Buffets Restaurant is busy, but you could still find good seating zones. Variety of International food were provided, but notable absence of local sea food was disappointing! Dessert corner of Senso is an high risk area, as I have seen many children handling food and placing them back; Lack of supervision by parents and Staff. Staff are generally very shy and lacked experience.
In contrast we enjoyed our meals at the Noble House Restaurant; Special thanks to the head waiter for taking care of us as VIPs!
Poor service at the pool/Sugar Cane Bar. Excellent service at the lobby bar and at Segala Restaurant.
Concierge service was good. Cultural evening entertainment at the hotel was enjoyable.
Finally by no means least we would like to thank the Resort Manager who worked very hard but always attentive to the guests.

Visiting your hotel was an amazing experience that was only made better by the level of service offered by your staff. At the pool and Sugarcane Bar, Ravi, Tasveen, Raphael, Manoj and Niaaz were truly amazing and made my wife's birthday an unforgettable experience. Ram at Segala was also incredible.
