Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Everything EXCEPT the room itself. My company stays here a lot. The staff is great, they have a very nice social hour one day a week that is very nice. Complementary beer and wine. My only complaint is that my room temperature was very difficult to control. Thermostat was broken. This is the reason for the two stars on room and comfort. The housekeeping staff does a great job on keeping the room ready and fresh for check in. I would not pass this hotel up if you are looking for a nice place to stay. Quiet and a very good home kind of feel. The guest laundry facility is top notch. Very well thought out. May 31, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staybridge Suites - Airport Rd Allentown, PA I stayed twice during April and neither time did Caduces (sp?) acknowledge me as a Platinum member. Nor did she give me a welcoming gift. Each time another employee had to correct the reservation and room that she put me in. I expressed this to the management previously in 2012 and apparently she is allowed to continue in this manner. The other employes I encounter, Brian, Robert and another young lady are excellent, but it appears Caduces(sp?) has a problem with me. Also, Tina in the kitchen, spends more time socializing during the evening quick meals. She neglects to pay attention to the food supplies, etc. When asked for something she seems put out. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Needs some work! Needs a coat of paint, cobwebs vacuumed and door jambs cleaned. The lighting in the room is too dark. It was hard for us to see in some areas. Beds were comfortable but very short. I am 5'8" and my feet were hanging off the bottom. The comforters are too heavy and put a lot of pressure on your toes if you sleep on your back. The heater in the room is VERY noisy and we had to shut it off completely at night in order to sleep. Not given amenities for our Gold membership. Brian and Elizabeth at the front desk were great! Lady that oversees the evening reception and breakfast was fantastic!!! Breakfast was just okay. March 1, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay if you are not traveling for business. I stayed at this property many times in the past and enjoyed great service great Internet service good food and great staff. It is been almost a year since my last stay at this property and they have changed their Internet service provider since last time I was there. This service is fine if you plan on checking your email and surfing the web and that is it. Business travelers beware VPNs are not supported at this property. Another thing that kind of put me off is that the wireless access point for the entire wing of the motel was in my room behind the TV. Otherwise a perfect stay I couldn't have asked for better but not having the VPN service really cause problems and I had to use almost my entire data plan on my cell phone for the stay I was there. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My favorite place to stay in the Allentown/Bethlehem area The Staybridge Suites experience in Allentown is one that a business traveler will really enjoy. First, the rooms are all mini suites; some with separate bedrooms. If you have a two or more day stay, the room's mini kitchen really comes in handy. I love that each room has a small sofa to sit and work or watch TV from without having to lay on the bed well before you're ready to go to bed. Plus the rooms are situated in such a way that you can swing the TV to be seen from the bathroom sink in the morning when you want to see the news and local weather while you are getting ready for the day. The added bonus is the Social evening reception held Tuesday thru Thursday when they put out such a nice spread including a nice selection of adult beverages that will be especially appreciated by those on a budget. The entire staff here is very freindly and very accomodating. You can also take advantage of the hotel's transportion service to get to local attractions and restaurants without having to drive your own vehicle. The value exceeds the expense for a place that will give you a homey. January 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall a nice hotel. The hotel was nicely located, there was a variety of stores located very close. The staff seems friendly enough, though there was no recognition for Priority Club member status, I wasn't expecting anything, but it is always a bit disappointing, as it's the first impression you receive and sort of sets the tone for the rest of your stay. There was plenty of parking though if you came later in the evening and it was a busy evening, you might have to park a bit further than you would like from the entrance. Due to a busy schedule, I didn't get an opportunity to take advantage of the breakfast and evening reception, though I very much appreciate that they offer it to their guests. The rooms were pretty standard, but clean. It was nice to be able to open the windows and let fresh air in as well. The young gentleman who was working overnight was very accommodating (sorry I forgot his name), when I inquired about getting some ice. There is no central ice machine to speak of, as the full kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with an ice maker, but you have to turn it on when you get there, so you won't have any ice in there for at least a few hours, but when I rang the front desk, he immediately offered to bring some to my room. I didn't really want to bother since he was probably the only person on staff for the night, so I went to the lobby and met him. He was very friendly and seemed very nice, which I appreciated. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable experience We had a 2 bedroom suite for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It was a very comfortable and economical way for myself, my husband, and our 3 adult daughters to visit with family in the area without having to be house guests. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again. January 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Second visit Great facility, very friendly staff. Clean rooms, great breakfast -- above average for most free breakfasts. Only con is I don't usually arrive in time for the evening social hour, so can't really comment on it. December 11, 2012
