Suite with separate bedroom

We chose this hotel because it offered a separate bedroom in the suite. We didn’t like that most of the guests were contract labor. In the evenings they would hang out by their trucks in the parking lot.
One room with bedbugs. Second room okay.

As the title says I had to deal with bedbug. It took a while for the itchy welts to show up. By the time I realized what was happening I was covered with bites. I know bedbugs is a growing concern these days, but you would think hotels would be equipped with methods to keep them away.

Had to make noise at the front desk to get the person sitting behind a panel to acknowledge I was there, I could see the top pf his head. I ask him if he wanted my IHG card number, he appeared to not know Candlewood Suites was a part of IHG. The bathroom appears clean until a person looks closely where the floor and wall meets and the line of dirt is prevalent. This is likely from mopping but not finishing up to wipe up what can not be picked up with the mop. I realize it is likely more cost efficient for IHG to use the soap, shampoo, conditioner in the dispensers in the shower but experience if these are difficult to use and several times the pump bottles have fallen out due to the "cage" not being locked. Other time the "cage" has been loose on the wall making "pumping" difficult.
