Comfortable bed and clean room great staff. I stated there for 2nights I wish the pool was open but I understand why it’s not due to COVID-19. I will stay here again whenever I travel back to the are or have a business meeting.

I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire staff at Crowne Plaza Englewood! My husband and I stayed for two months whilst my husband had spinal surgery at New York Presbyterian Och Spine Hospital nearby. The genuine care and concern that everyone from the wonderful woman in the office to the ladies in housekeeping to the front desk was truly heart warming. I could not have gotten through this without their support.
Our stay was in the middle of Covid-19 which was of great concern. The staff was on top of everything. housekeeping and maintenance were always visible cleaning both high traffic areas as well as those areas less frequented by guests. Plexiglass barriers were in place between the front desk staff and the lobby and all staff wore face masks at all times. The staff did everything to make sure that everyone was kept safe. Housekeeping also gave the option of cleaning your room while you were out and about or delivering fresh linens to your door in sealed bags for you.
For us in particular, the ladies in housekeeping kept a steady supply of towels and linens coming and always asking if we needed more! Maintenance brought an extra mini fridge that made our long stay so much easier. The front desk ladies are amazing. Always welcoming with a wave and a smile and asking about our day. Deja is joy personified! She is just he person to great a weary traveler after a long journey. Candra was the first staff member we met in person. Once we met Candra we knew our stay was going to be wonderful. She is the most thoughtful, giving as well as efficient and organized person. She is a delight!
The ladies in the sales office are the heartbeat of the Crowne Plaza. Jaci, ToniAnn and Yelena welcomed us with open arms and offered to help with anything that we might need. These wonderful women went above and beyond to ensure that we were well taken care of during our stay. They helped facilitate delivery and pick up of a special recliner that my husband used after his surgery as well as locating several other things for me. I am , shall we say, "directionally challenged" and these wonderful women were always helpful in directing me where I should go and the best way to get there.
My husband and I return in 6 months for a recheck with my husbands surgeon. I am very much looking forward to seeing everyone at Crowne Plaza again soon!

Worst staff

I am a spire, platinum, and a globalist tier to hotel chains and I can say with certainty that no other hotels I stayed at this year treated me with such disdain and the lack of any care in the world as this hotel has treated me. Right from the start when I arrived, no one was at the counter. When someone finally showed, she has not greeted me and proceeded my checkin when I handed her my license. It was as if I had interrupted her lunch break. I later found that she didn’t give me the measly welcome points I usually always get at check in. The same lady responded 4 days later when I asked my room to be services with “I am sorry, no one’s here to service your room today because we’re supposed to only service the rooms on the 4th day” I pointed out that it is indeed my 4th day there and it’s only 9am. When I came back later in the evening, the room was serviced yet bedsheets weren’t replaced. I have no clue why she didn’t want to clean the room. I am sure she didn’t have to do it herself. A few days later, I went down to pick up a bottle of diet coke, this time another staff without acknowledging me being there simply pointed at some kind of a little note book and says “fill it out”. I felt like I was at a library trying to rent out a book for free. Apparently to the staff at this hotel, the customers are nothing more than a nuisance to their otherwise very important duties. Thank you IHG! This stay really taught me a lesson. I am taking my stays elsewhere so I can be a little more appreciated.

Very Impressed

When you think of hotels this one does not come to mind but let me tell you, I would rather stay here than anywhere else. This hotel was very welcoming. The room was very very clean and sexy lol. We were on the top floor, so the view was great and the location of this hotel was right off one of the main highways that leads to NYC. What more can you ask for? I would recommend this to anyone and my wife and I are coming back for another visit.. We LOVED it

Ann at the front desk is a disrespectful rude person

This last Ann at the front desk lied and said she was the manager of the hotel and she is a employee. She took 192$ off my credit card without my permission. And when I called to find out why she took my money and to speak with a manager she hung up the phone . I called corporate office to get my money back and I have to wait 48 hours because the hotel would not respond to them . I’m here at the hotel now to find out why she stole my money and why she so disrespectful to me . I’m going to file charges on this lady for discrimination and credit card theft and harassment.

Good stay

Right now I moved back to NJ for the most part the staff has been nice Kendra has went above and beyond for me and handled any misunderstanding. She is what made my stay great. Other staff is nice but some are not so inviting. Happy with the room and accommodations. Only thing is I had some problems with billing where they had to refund or discount the room. I took off money so that the card on file wouldn’t be charged at 3:20 am and having to wait to get straighten out. Once again staff member Kendra came to my rescue and told me of promotions of IHG and such made my stay even better.
