The Royal Palace

The Royal Palace at Dedinje was built from 1924 to 1929, by the order of King Alexander I, as an official royal residence. Today it is the home of Crown Prince Alexander II and his family. This is a large and representative villa of white stone of the Serbian - Byzantine style and surrounded by pergolas, park terraces, pools, pavilions and a concert platform. The palace offers a magnificent view to Dedinje, Kosutnjak Forest, Topcider and Avala.

Kalemegdan Fortress

Kalemegdan Fortress offers an exciting view of the confluence of Sava and Danube of New Belgrade and Zemun. The Kalemegdan Park contains the “Cvijeta Zuzorić” Pavilion, the Grand Stairway, the zoo, children’s park and a number of monuments and sculptures, several sports courts, a museum, a café and a restaurant.

Saint Sava Temple

The temple was built on the location where, according to legend and on orders by Sinan-pasha, the remains of the first Serbian archbishop Sava were moved from the Mileševa monastery in 1594, there to be burned. The interior height of the temple, from the floor to the top of its dome, is 65 meters, while the outside height with the cross is 79 meters. The temple has three choir galleries with capacity for 700 choir members each, as well as an observation gallery.

National Theatre

The National Theatre is located in the immediate vicinity of the National Museum. It was built during 1868 and 1869 designed by the architect Aleksandar Bugarski. In addition to theatre plays, charity balls and concerts were held in the building during the 19th century. It was the place where the Great Constitutional Assembly voted in the famous 1888 Constitution.

Ada Ciganlija Lake

Ada is a true ecological oasis of Belgrade, decorated with clean waters and a thick deciduous forest 7 kilometres of gravel beach, with public baths, showers and fountains as the necessary additional accessories, rescue crews, ambulance and police, the offer of Ada Ciganlija is exceptionally diverse. Apart from swimming, you can row a boat, a kayak or a canoe on the lake, play water polo, windsurf, water-ski using a specially constructed cable-pulley, descend down toboggans, ride pedal-boats...

Belgrade Zoo

Located in the heart of the city, the Belgrade Zoo, also known as the Garden of Hope, is located in one of the most attractive locations in the city – Kalemegdan Park. Founded in 1936, it is one of the oldest animal collections in Europe.

Skadarlija

The old bohemian quarter of Belgrade, Skadarlija, arose during the late 19th and early 20th century when its inns were the gathering place of the best known names in Belgrade. Skadarlija is the bohemian quarter of Belgrade and an unavoidable place to taste local specialties. Nearly all restaurants have live music.

Knez Mihailova Street

Pedestrian zone and commercial center - Knez Mihailova Street is protected by law since it is one of the oldest and most important monumental urban environments.
