Kenroku-en Garden

Kenroku-en Garden is a beautiful Japanese garden with an area of 11.4 hectares located on the central part of Kanazawa and next to Kanazawa Castle. Along with Kairaku-en and Koraku-en, Kenroku-en is one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan.

21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art Kanazawa

The Tsuzumimon Gate in front of Kanazawa Station blends current architecture with traditional inspiration and has become a modern symbol of the city. Omicho Market

Omicho Market has been the largest fresh food market in Kanazawa since the Edo period (1603–1867). Its busy network of covered streets holds over 180 stalls and restaurants that sell fresh seafood, vegetables, fruit, and many other local products.

Myoryu Ji (Ninja Temple)

Known as the 'Ninja Temple', Myoryu-ji Temple is a captivating site featuring ingenious contraptions. These include a donation box that acts as a trap, hidden staircases concealed beneath floorboards, and a well believed to have once served as an escape route to Kanazawa Castle.

Oyama Shrine

Oyama Shrine is a historically significant site that enshrines the founder of the Kaga Domain, Lord Maeda Toshiie, and his wife, Omatsu-no-kata. This unique shrine combines Japanese, Chinese, and Western architectural styles, with its stained-glass Shinmon gate serving as a striking feature. Designated as a National Important Cultural Property, the gate is celebrated as one of Kanazawa's most iconic tourist attractions.

Kanazawa Station

Located at the Kenrokuen Exit of Kanazawa Station, the modern glass design of the 'Motenashi Dome' and the Tsuzumi-mon Gate, inspired by the drums used in Noh theatre, are must-visit photo spots that represent Kanazawa. At night, the illuminated scenery enchants visitors, making it an unforgettable experience.
