Black Hawk was once a booming gold mining town in Colorado. Black Hawk has two distinct sections of town - old downtown, which has more of the entact historical buildings and the new section, but Casinos have definitely taken over the town.

Chatfield Reservoir is one of Denver's several fishing hotspots and is located off of the southwest corner of I-470. The Colorado Division of Wildlife maintains an active fisheries management program on Chatfield Reservoir. It boasts healthy populations of rainbow trout, walleye, smallmouth and largemouth bass, channel catfish, crappies, yellow perch, sunfish and carp. State fishing licenses are required as well as a park pass to gain entry.

Enjoy Chatfield's Trails great for hiking, jogging, biking, horse back riding or just exploring. Chatifield is also open for camping with 4 campgrounds available, with campsites within walking distance to the lake and including picnic tables and grills.
