A haven ... More than just the sum of its parts, Chippewa Nature Center is truly a haven - 1,348 acres of woodland, wetlands, rivers and upland fields. At just three miles from downtown Midland, you'll feel like you've landed a half world away from the bustle of the city. Visitors may now reach CNC from downtown (at the Tridge) via the 3.5-mile Chippewa Trail.

Herbert Henry Dow was one of the world’s most famous scientists, but he was also very down to earth – literally. The well-known Dow Gardens was started in 1899 as landscaping around Dow’s Midland home. Eventually spreading over 110 acres, the gardens feature flowers, shrubs, trees, ornamental grass, rocks and water in a series of lush, eye-pleasing vistas. The grounds are now open to the public, annually attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors.

To experience the finest live entertainment and world-class exhibits offered in mid-Michigan, be sure to put Midland Center for the Arts on the top of your list! Conveniently located close to downtown Midland, the Center houses a large art museum with rotating exhibits and also offers professional and community-based theatre, concerts, exhibits, films, lectures, festivals plus a permanent hands-on science museum.

The Midland Community Tennis Center is one of the largest and most active tennis centers in the Midwest. With 16 indoor and 16 outdoor courts, we offer a full course of year-round tennis opportunities for players of all ages and abilities, from our Pee Wee classes for three and four-year olds to our Senior Drop in leagues for adults. Real tennis lives here and we play to win!
