Monumental arches dated early 18th century.

Recognized as the first "Live Museum" in Mexico, the Morelia Zoo has a permanent exhibit of 2,063 animals of 362 species, from all over the world, promoting care, conservation and protection of these species.

La Tarascas Fountain displays a bronze sculpture which dates from 1984, and represents 3 Purepecha women, with naked torso, carrying a great basket filled with fruits. It is presumed that this sculpture makes reference to the Indian princesses Atzimba, Eréndira y Tzetzangari.

The State Museum is installed in a stone building, dated from the18th Century, and which was probably someone's home. Its collection is divided into 3 sections, Archeology, History and Ethnology.

The Sanctuary of Guadalupe or San Diego Temple, in Morelia, is an 18th century construction, with a sober Baroque facade. Its construction took 8 years, starting in 1708 and concluding in 1716. It belonged to the Franciscan Order of the Dieguinos.
