Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 168 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cost the comfort was good, but the cost of the room was too high. it was close to a 4 star cost. the previous week was significantly less and the service was the same the same. Pricing should be more consistent. The explaination of why the cost was not satisfactory. There were plenty of rooms available and the reason given for the higher cost is that it was a Monday. The previous week I also stayed in the same facility on Monday and the cost was less (still pretty expensive) 28 February 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay for price and location Great stay with breakfast included. Staff super pleasant. Good location near heart of city without being right in it. Great stay for price! Would stay again! 27 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel not too great breakfast choices I stayed for one night in January. The room, staff, and hotel were super. I utilized the shuttle to the Emory University Hospital-- the convenience of this service was greatly appreciated. However, the breakfast that the hotel provided was disappointing. The usual eggs with a sausage or bacon entree was not there. I guess it was not served on that one day. The pluses out-number this one negative item and I would be a return guest to the Hotel. 24 February 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Stay was enjoyable Overall the stay was enjoyable. Lobby and room was neat and clean. Staff was nice and efficient. Only issue had was parking was tight and no way to unload luggage without getting wet in the rain, no drive up area. 22 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Expectations Met A great place to stay and close to nice restaurants. We were glad they had a shuttle. We did not need it but was glad to know that it was available to us. It was a very clean and nice place to stay. 19 February 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor management experience I had a family member scheduled for a medical procedure at Emory Hospital on February 9-10 which necessitated our visit. The Holiday Inn Express-Emory was listed on Emory Hospital's website as a recommended place to stay. I made the reservation on February 6 and was told that we would receive the discounted rate for guests whose family members were patients at the Hospital. Because my family member did not see the doctor until Monday, February 9, I asked the reservationist if we could provide the necessary documentation showing that she was a patient on February 9 even though we were checking in on February 8. The reservationist stated that this would not be a problem. When we presented the letter from Emory on February 9, the manager on duty stated that we would receive the discounted rate for that night but that we would not receive it for February 8 because we did not provide the letter at check in. I explained to the manager that the reservationist told me that we could provide it on February 9. The manager responded that the reservationist was mistaken, that the hotel policy required the letter to be presented at check in, and that she would not honor the discounted rate. The manager gave me the number to call for customer service but said that there was simply nothing that she could do to rectify the situation. The manager was condescending and completely unhelpful throughout this process. When I asked if I could speak to the general manager she stated that she was training the general manager and that there was no one else I could speak with. I called the customer service number while standing at the front desk. After explaining the situation, the representative asked to speak with the manager on duty. I was subsequently told by the representative that I would receive a check from Holiday Inn Express for the difference between the discounted rate and the standard rate instead of simply having the difference made on my bill. Our experience with the manager added significant stress to what was already an extremely stressful time period for my family. The hotel’s overall accommodations, proximity to Emory, and hospitality of the other staff members would make the hotel an ideal place to stay when we have to return to Emory Hospital in the coming weeks for future procedures. However, we will not be staying at this location because of the manner in which we were treated, nor will we recommend this hotel to others. We also plan to notify Emory Hospital of this situation in case they want to reconsider listing this location as one of their recommended hotels. 13 February 2015
