Manzanar Revelation Park

Manzanar National Historic Site was where the internment of almost 120,000 Japanese Americans was during World War II. It is the most well known of the internment sites in the U.S. The site itself is open daily from dawn to dusk. Devils Postpile

An unique formation called the Devils Postpile, 2 miles North of the beautiful 101 ft. high Rainbow Falls. Closed for the season starting on October 29 until approx. the 2nd week of June, depending on weather conditions.
Bodie State Park Ghost Town

Bodie is a preserved gold mining ghost town. It's open all year, though in some parts of winter is only accessable by snowshoes, skis, or snowmobiles. It is located NE of Yosemite National Park. Mount Whitney
26 Miles East of Lone Pine, Lone Pine, CA 93545
Mt. Whitney boasts the highest altitute of any peak in the contiguous U.S. at 14,497 ft. and sports trailheads for beginners to pros. At the beginning is the Whitney Portal Restaurant/Store with their famous UFO Pancakes as well as other standard items. Winter road conditions rely on weather.

The world famous Dutch bakery centrally located in Bishop, across from the city park (not to be confused with the Schat's Bakery in Mammoth Lakes that does not have the original recipes). Delicious favorites are the Jalapeno or the Chili or the Plain Cheese breads and the Honi Squaw wheat bread. A very crowded place during midday but not to miss when in the area. The deli closes at 4:00pm.
