Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by So-so stay We had a problem getting checked in. They gave us a room that people were already in and we walked in on them. It was very awkward to say the least. They did give us a better room...but I was disappointed because the room I booked had a whirlpool in it and I specifically chose that room for the reason. And then I did not even get that. And then I was charged for the more expensive room. I did call and they adjusted it for me. But overall.... I was not pleased. July 22, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Construction needs to clean up After my initial reservation (which was confirmed and pre-paid) was not available, I was sent to a substitute room but it was obviously under construction as tools were scattered all over the floor. I returned to the front desk and finally settled for the only room in the hotel that would meet my needs (three beds). The property is under construction, and there are unfinished projects everywhere. I don't mind a little construction as long as it doesn't affect my room. Well... when I got to my room, I noticed the holes cut for the outlets and ceiling fans, for example, are too big. No one wants to pay so much money a night to look at that. Also, it's apparent that no one wants to clean up after the construction crew because there was drywall dust and spackle on the carpet and on the a/c. Since I was led to believe it was the only room left that would meet my needs, I opted to just grin and bear it. I also overheard another couple at the front desk having trouble checking in with their reservation, so I'm afraid it might be a common occurrence. The cleanliness in the common areas was great. There were full beer cans scattered all over the parking lot the next morning, but I suppose that was from a guest and not the fault of the hotel. The breakfast selection was terrific. Both pork and turkey sausage, eggs both scrambled and boiled, hot and cold cereal options, juices, milks, biscuits, gravy, fruit. And my son was very impressed with the pancake machine. Overall, I felt like I absolutely did not get what I paid for, but I did get a good night's rest and breakfast. Next time I return to the area, I will just go to a budget hotel and use the savings to buy breakfast elsewhere. July 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service and Bed but some areas need work The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The Staff were very friendly and the service was great. However, some areas of the hotel require maintenance. The weight room was unusable as 3 of the 5 pieces of equipment were broken. I like to do my exercise early in the morning but after I tried and found that the equipment wasn't working, I gave up. The patio was next to some utility equipment that was squealing, making the patio un-usable. Overall a good stay, but not great. Since I was staying here for business, I would stay here again. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Holiday Inn yet Got in late and 1st room felt like 120 degrees and thermostat dead. Lady at desk was very nice and brought me a key to next room. Tired and ready for much needed sleep, hop in shower and there is a HUGE hair ball right in the center of shower wall. Good for you all I will not add the pictures. How do you miss that if you are actually cleaning the bathroom. July 18, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Time to move On I have been a guest at this facility almost every month for the past 2.5 years. I have stayed at the hotel even through all the repairs and remodeling of the facility. Now that has been completed and the previous general manager has left - the hallways, dining area, elevators and exterior of the facility are not clean. Ice machine has had debris in and round it. I was once greeted by name, now I am not even acknowledged as a regular guest or rewards members. Unfortunately It is time to utilize other hotels in the area. July 13, 2015
