I stayed there from September 18th, through the 21st. I was originally scheduled to stay through the 22nd. I checked out one day earlier than planned, because I wanted to be closer to the airport for my 7:00am flight, the next morning, and to avoid all of the construction on I.H 35. Hotels.com said I needed to get my refund from the hotel. It has now been a week, and I have yet to hear back from the manager of the hotel about my refund.
Also, I found the room to be hot when sleeping at night. The air conditioned unit was not facing the bed, so it cooled everywhere accept the bed area.
The first room they gave me had not been cleaned. Dirty stained sheets and trash was still in the room. I did not even check the bathroom.I just left and went down to front desk.
The breakfast was really, really good and I also liked that they had filtered water.
They do have refrigerators in the room. However, they do not have microwaves or coffee makers in the rooms. There are no laundry facilities or a pool on the property.
It is located next to a gas station, so you can go there and get some snacks. And you can even get something hot to eat. Scan trap questions
Would I recommend this hotel? It depends on your purpose for staying there and what matters to you.

Every time we visit my daughter we stay here. Hotel it's always clean, low nightly rates, good customer service and love that they offer breakfast. Highly recommended if traveling solo or with a family.

My sister and I love AVID. We come to Austin to visit our younger sister and the hotel is perfect for us. The location is close to where our sister lives so we don’t have to get involved with the horrible Austin traffic. We don’t need a bunch of fancy amenities during the day and AVID provides the clean, friendly, quiet, comfortable atmosphere we love at night. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The hot breakfast is much more than the typical continental breakfast that is included with many other hotels. AVID is out go to place when coming to Austin!

Great stay.Staff was amazing. Even housekeeping service was excellent. I would definitely come back in stay for work again. Clean,Quite and Cozy hotel stay for work.
Noise from road but clean and comfortable

The check-in process was easy. Recognized as platinum member. The noise from some cars and trucks was extremely loud but perhaps would have been less noisy in a different room location. Room was clean and comfortable. Location felt safe. It was the last night of a few day trip in TX.
This is a wonderful and comfortable place.

My stay at the Avid Hotel Tech Ridge in Austin was great! The staff was friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. I had everything I needed for a relaxing stay and would definitely come back again.

Nice, new property. Very clean with friendly staff. It's no frills - barebones rooms. Very SMALL fridge, no dirty clothes bag, very few linens in bathroom. No spare linens for bed. Toiletries are all Dove. It was great for a short business stay.
Great experience all around! Have no regrets!

Sheree (the front desk person) did such an AMAZING job at making me feel welcomed and I enjoyed my stay! From the early check-in to texting me occasionally to make sure I felt satisfied and to make sure I wasn’t needing anything, Sheree goes above and beyond. She texted me shortly after I got to my room asking if I was needing anything, and I asked regarding a microwave (there wasn’t one in my room). She offered to bring one up to my room for me, which I gladly appreciated! And she was very prompt in bringing it to my room. She was always on top of making sure guests were feeling welcome and satisfied. Also the breakfast food was DELICIOUS. This hotel was also very clean and had a modern look. Has a great view of downtown Austin from the distance from my hotel room window. Also in a very safe area of Austin, and there were other hotels surrounding it making it feel safer too! There’s even a gas station next door which is so convenient for when having to depart, and HEB and Walmart is only 5 minutes away. Absolutely had no issues with my stay here. If I had to go back to Austin for anything and needed a hotel, Avid hotel would for sure be my go-to! If you’re reading this and you’re considering booking with Avid, YOU SHOULD! :)
Disgusting! Deposit SCAM!!!

LIES!!! Not being LIED to regarding the $100 deposit. It’s like a money interest SCAM to hold the $100 deposit for 30 days (to gain interest) and blame the bank (when the bank specifically explains that the hotel HAS NOT FINALIZED/COMPLETED the transaction AND WON’T until 30 days). Nevertheless, upon arrival & departure you’re told it will be refunded in 3-5 days. Hotel Mgr WILL NOT send in finalized document to bank but blames the bank. Bank states it’s the hotel causing 30 day wait! SCAM to gain interest on $100. NO HOTEL IN THE WORLD makes you wait 30 days when you know you have no charges, etc., I FEEL ROBBED! It’s ridiculous & disgusting that hotel mgmt is allowed to do this and blame the bank when it’s hotel mgmt that purposefully WILL NOT complete or finalize the transaction that the bank needs…BUT WILL only have “RELEASED” showing in the computer. Instead of sending the transaction finalized to the bank so it no longer shows PENDING. Spoke w/Mgr Tish & she’s RUDE & ABRUPT!
