We came thru Fort Wayne for work and I was happy to find an Avid hotel. Goldie greeted us and checked us in with her amazing charm and smile. All of the staff that we had interactions with were exceptionally welcoming, warm and professional. The hotel is quiet, clean, and very comfortable. My only regret is that we only had an opportunity to stay for 2 nights. As much as we travel for work, people like Goldie, her staff and her hotel are very much appreciated.

my stay was amazing great experience just 2 things I was a little off about was the breakfast selection I feel like it could of been better like a buffet style like I'm usually accommodated with, and I wasn't receiving clean sheets everyday but when I asked it was told to me that I had to request for clean sheets / full service everyday but I've been staying at many hotels an always had clean sheets every day and didn't have to request them but overall my experience was amazing and I know now to request full service on my next stay

Nice hotel but the floors in room were filthy. The bathroom had black hairs all over the floor. I laid towels down to walk on so I didn’t have to walk in them after I showered. Clearly wasn’t mopped and didn’t appear to be for quite some time. The rest of the room was good. Comfortable bed and front desk lady was very nice.

Cleanliness and comfort was terrific!! Room 325 bathroom light flickered. The remote control to t.v. didn't work well until morning I was leaving. Kept flickering red. Quite noisy from rude people. Loud. Talking, walking, banging. Not fault of hotel..it is what it is. Staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was smooth.
One of the things I look forward when booking a hotel is breakfast provided. It was provided but unfortunately very limited to fruits, cereal, yogurt, bagels, muffins, Jimmy Dean biscuits with bacon egg cheese. Sausage egg cheese. Orange juice. Apple juice.
Thankful for what was there but I expected a little more.

Goldie the check in woman is one nasty person. I’ll never stay at this hotel again. Every time I’ve stayed here she can’t find my reservation and blames it on me. She told me “you’re wrong” & “it’s your fault” when she couldn't find my reservation in the system. Now she won’t check me into my room after I paid for it online. She’s not a smart business person either. Boooooo Goldie.

It is minimal but comfy.

You get what you pay for. Minimal cost, no pomp and circumstance. It’s a perfectly acceptable hotel.

Ice machine was out of order, swimming pool is closed, its under construction for months and room ac was noisy. Breakfast could be better.

There were many things I observed at this hotel that were questionable. I was okay with the staff, as they were courteous and professional with each and every time I made contact. The following items were problems: 1. The one and only ice machine located on the main floor as you enter the hotel was out of order, No sign or notification of this, as we had to ask for ice. None available. 2. The hotel advertized that there was a pool. Under construction is what the sign said on the door, not available to use. 3. The public toilet on the main floor had a smaller toilet seat than what fit the toilet. I have a photo of this if needed. 4. The elevator inspection was past due inspection by several years.
