Great location and very clean hotel. The desk clerk, Caleb, was wonderful. He went above and beyond to make my room request. And he was helpful in many other ways while we were there, too. Great staff.

I would not recommend this hotel, it is not clean and was uncomfortable. The only positive experience was the gentleman who checked us in, he was helpful in switching our room when the first one smelt like animals had been in it.
Serious Concern Regarding Guest Treatment at Avid

As a long-time IHG member, I’m disappointed to share that my recent stay at an Avid Hotel on August 31st was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.
While I didn’t expect luxury at a 2-star property, basic cleanliness and professionalism should still be standard. The room had a stained bed cover, a noisy fridge, and a squeaky mattress — all tolerable. However, the breakfast experience was unacceptable: utensils and trash were poorly managed, and the area was clearly unsanitary.
Most concerning was the behavior of a staff member named Deedee. A guest politely asked her if more attention could be given to the breakfast area. Rather than responding with professionalism, Deedee escalated the situation aggressively – demanding the guest’s room number and threatening to call the police. The guest in question made no threats or raised voice, and merely expressed a desire to speak to management.
I urge you to review CCTV footage from 8–9 AM on August 31, speak with staff who were present, and check if a police report was filed. I am reconsidering my membership due to this incident and expect that appropriate action will be taken.
I also consider posting the complain under Avid Hotel in Google without mentioning a specific person's name.

Room cleanliness was substandard. The mattress was terribly uncomfortable and soft. We had difficulty sleeping and getting out of bed. We were not greeted in a friendly manner.

Nothing went well on this stay. The room they Gave 403 was Bad not cleaned , the bathroom was awful. I requested them to change the room which they did to 325 where there was another story The bathroom water docent recede in the tub nor the sink. the keys docent work properly so I had to go and let the receptionist let that these things. and she told the plumber would come at 10 am the next day which he did not and he came after I called the front office again. finally he showed up not sure what he did but the sink water is clogged uo and moving very slow for all the 3 days we stayed. and the tub stopper he took and said will replace it never came back. The rooms were not cleaned properly I told that the drink cans are under the bed. for 2 days it was still there. The front office girl said that they will clean. we started from 22 to 25 Checked out. The Hotel was good when I stayed back in 2022. Not sure what happened.So out of the 3 days I have booked 1 on Anniversary night and 2paid

We had excellent stay, hotel is very clean except hallway carpet needs some deep cleaning, has stain all over the floor. Elevator has no AC, can get very hot in the summer time. Breakfast has typical continental items with eggs, sausage or bacon bits. Would be nice to provide extra items such as vegetables or pancakes or waffles or walnuts pinetree nuts for cereal. Hotel is 3 min from dutch wonderland. Very convenient location to all attractions

Did not meet my expectations and hotel room bathroom was not working properly. I was looked out my room by the indoor lock and no one was able to open the door until the next morning.
Great choice if you're visiting Lancaster!!

Hall carpets dirty, walked barefoot in room first night and feet were dirty, wore shoes rest of visit, bathroom floor after bathing and stepping on bath mat., bath mat was filthy from the floor, vinyl flooring in room.
No place to hang clothing, no drawers in sight.. had to leave clothing in the suitcase.
I didn't get points for being a IHG member.
