Great Place to Stay in North Platte Nebraska

We had a very nice stay at the Avid in North Platte Nebraska. We stop here frequently as we go back and forth to see family members in the Midwest. We're always looking for who has the best deal on a very nice room and there are two or three very nice hotels. My wife said that she'd decide which was best based on the breakfast experience. She loved how the layout of the Avid was arranged, with a combination of typical grab and go and hot breakfast. The items were good quality and care was taken to be sure that they were arranged nicely. So--Avid is now #1 in North Platte for us!

Overall one night stay was nice. We looked at staying at the Marriott (we always book there) but being $350 a night we looked elsewhere.
We found the Avid hotel and reviews were great besides the pricing/hidden fees.
Staff was amazing. Rooms are smaller than others but we just sleep so it was perfect. Clean rooms. Clean showers and a mini fridge if you want.
Pricing was great but they do have fees after you book (look at the fine print y'all)
Overall stay 4/5 and I will do it again.

We were warmly welcomed to this hotel after a long drive. The desk clerk, Kelli, was ready for our arrival and gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner. We love the cleanliness and efficiency of AVID Hotels!
AVID billing practices

Unfair billing practice. If you book online and pay applicable taxes, note there is an asterisk next the final amount, indicating there may be additional fees at individual establishments. When you check in, a local LNK fee(energy tax) is added to your bill. Instead of adding it as an additional tax, it is added to the room charge, and all taxes recalculated at the higher rate.
Although the dollar amount of the increase is minimal, in principle this is an unfair business practice.

We were in town for the NLD concerts. We chose Avid for the price and value. We were very pleased with the property and would continue to book at this property if they continue to not up charge during big events. My hat is off to you for this policy.

First room had issues that caused staff to move us to a new room. Front desk was very helpful and apologized many times, even though, we were not upset. Front desk can only go by status listed on the room. Second room was awesome. One of the quietest rooms I’ve stayed in and bed was perfect. Had a good rest after being on the road driving all day.

Very nice place clean. It appears to be a new hotel in the area. But the wife and I thought the room was a little small and had now coffee maker in the room. Had to get dressed and run to the lobby to get our morning coffee.
