Was in the area and found this hotel. It’s easily the cleanest hotel I’ve ever been in and on top of that an awesome, friendly, helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

The service and room was excellent bar none. The staff was informative courteous and kind. Everything was great and when I return to the city I'll definitely stay here again. I also recommend my CO workers to stay here as well. They enjoyed their stay as well.
A Solid Stay at Avid Hotels Summerville

I recently stayed at the Avid Hotels Summerville and was pleased with my experience.
The Good:
The hotel is newly built and modern, with clean and comfortable rooms
Everything in the room worked well.
Breakfast was good, although the options were limited
Areas for Improvement:
The bed was too soft for my liking, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep
The hotel is located outside of downtown, requiring a decent drive to get to the city center
Overall, I would recommend the Avid Hotels Summerville for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and good breakfast. However, the soft bed and location may be drawbacks for some.

First time visiting this hotel -- very nice, clean, comfortable. Was surprised there was no microwave in the room but other than that it was one of the best hotels stays I've had in a while. workout facility was good. treadmill better than most I've used in a hotel. they had free weights that another guest was using (so we just walked) but they looked like good quality

Nice and comfortable hotel but they don't clean the room every day. There's a homeless woman "staying at the lobby and parking her car at the parking lot, weak shower pressure.
The service people attitute is horrible

Rediculous service attitude from the front desk!
I booked 3 days originally. but they gave me on room close to the high way which has huge noise in the night which made me no sleeping well.
In the other day morning, I asked front desk to switch to another room which can be opposite. But the REDICULOUS girl didn't do this and she just said she can not guarantee. I asked her to call hotel manager and she refused. How horrible the hotel service. This is the top worst IHG hotes I have ever seen in my total 61 stays in Y2024.
Then I decided to check out and move to Florence where I got warm and frienly service.

The rooms were in tip-top shape. The breakfast was average. I wish there were microwaves in the rooms. If you want to microwave something, you have to go down to the lobby. The front desk was friendly for check-in and check-out. It was in a safe location with restaurants nearby. It was a short drive into Charleston.

Super pleasant staff, well designed accommodation, good breakfast selection. Despite having so many dogs staying there, it was pleasantly quiet (seems thought & sound muffling was considered in the building). I LOVED the curtains for the window! No obnoxious gaps letting light in & privacy out! Lots of handrails in a spacious bathroom (I'd specifically requested handicap accessible room). Only thing that was missing/bothersome is a shortage of handicap parking and some way of keeping the room door open to make it easier to bring luggage/equipment into & out of the room.

I travel a lot for business and pleasure, but this was my first stay at an AVID branded hotel. I found it to be a great stay. Better breakfast than I expected... a nice selection of breakfast sandwiches, breads, pastries and bagels, and fruits and juices and a really fantastic coffee machine that brews your cup on the spot. The beds were comfortable, and the location provided many great options nearby for dinner. The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful.

Disappointed with lack of amenities in my room.

Very surprised and disappointed with the room amenities. No coffee maker, no microwave, no closet, no dresser.
Breakfast was extremely disappointing. Pre-packaged Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches? No fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits? All things that you find in any budget motel, and would expect in a place like Avid.
Definitely cannot and will not recommend this hotel.
