As a loyal Diamond Elite and a frequent visitor to Budapest, I decided to give a try to this fairly new IHG propery, and I was truly impressed from the moment I stepped in. I was greeted with an offer for a glass of champagne or water and help with my bags. I must say I immediately felt the 5-star vibe of the hotel. The lobby, starting with the doors at the entrance, is truly impressive. Everything is very modern, the rooms are sleek and beautifully designed. Kimpton is known for its family and pet friendliness, although I did not see any of those two during that one-night stay - the hotel lobby gave the ambiance of a truly elegant and exclusive feeling. The only small improvement I would suggest is in the restaurant - if management contacts me I'd be happy to let them know. In sum, I will return with my family for sure, and I cannot wait.

I've stayed in tons of IHG properties over the years, this is one of the best I've ever been in. Really unique and thoughtful design, tons of neat features, nice spa area etc. Food good, staff very, very helpful. The location is really good actually, tram right in front and neat small neighborhoods behind. Walkable to castle and also to Margaret Island for parks/peace.
Do not let the Kimpton name fool you if you've stayed in others, this is boutique and unique - a wonderful spot.

We had an amazing stay at the Budapest Kimpton. The hotel is gorgeous and very accessible to the bridges for walking. The rooftop bar, gym, and spa were also great! Our check in was very easy and we were provided champagne to drink upon check in as well.

We stayed at the kimpton.Based on vikings recommendation, we were unfamiliar with the brand and were overwhelmed with the beautiful build amenities and services.I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in that area.

Our stay at the Kimpton BEM in Budapest couldn’t have been better. From the moment we walked in the door ( and were offered a glass of champagne ) we were made to feel very comfortable and welcome.
Petra was working at the reception desk and she was just lovely and very helpful!
Myklos (the head concierge) went out of his way to arrange for me to get out for a row on the Danube. Being able to see the city from that vantage point was a thrill I will not soon forget!
Everyone we encountered who worked at the hotel were without fail, friendly, and accommodating. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay.
Horrible gym-tiny rooms- no desk- no desk chair.

The gym is a joke. Closet sized. One person max. Two of three cardio machines not working. Two terrible strength machines.
Scent in hotel is awful.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this hotel including the location. We could still walk everywhere or take the free public transportation(65 or older).
I strongly recommend you stay here! You won't be disappointed. Plan on dinner at Leo's rooftop between 5-7pm to catch the lights coming on. Walking distance from the hotel!

The hotel was beautiful, we were there over a week. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially in assisting us to call a cab at 3am to get to the airport for an early flight out at the end. The location was very convenient to public transportation and walking to a number of restaurants, shopping, and Margaret island. Food was fantastic at the restaurant. Absolutely recommend.
