We arrived after a big weekend in Deadwood. I thought there might be a delay in getting checked in but we were checked in right away. Staff very efficient and rooms very clean!

We visited deadwood for our Anniversary and our friend recommended this hotel. It had great staff, restaurant and bar that was also friendly. The decor was cozy( important to me) easy access to everything we did in deadwood.

Affordable price, amazing hotel...very new and clean feeling. LOVED the shower! Perfect location just steps from Deadwood, easy parking in ramp, and super friendly staff. Elevators are very slow, but everything else was 100% perfection.

I booked the room when I bought a ticket for Larry the Cable Guy. My only regret is not booking a longer stay. The room was wonderful. The hotel was wonderful. The people were wonderful. The Mountain Grand is ideally located near everything, making it perfect to walk Historical Deadwood or get out to drive to all the nearby attractions. Next time I go back I will absolutely stay here but I will stay longer.

The property is striking from the outside, sitting on the hillside with scenic views of the Black Hills.

What’s Great:
• Entertainment: The venue regularly hosts live concerts and shows, drawing in big-name acts (as the sign shows—comedians like Larry the Cable Guy).
• Casino: A decent-sized casino with a wide variety of slot machines and table games for those looking for some excitement.
• Atmosphere: The blend of historic industrial architecture with a modern touch makes it feel unique compared to typical hotels or casinos.
• Scenery: Great views overlooking Deadwood, especially from the outdoor areas.

Things to Note:
• Because of its hillside location, there are multiple levels, so navigating might feel a little spread out.
• Parking can be a bit tight during peak events.
• While it has a lot of charm, it’s not as large-scale as Vegas-style resorts—expect a more intimate and historic feel.

Bottom Line:
If you’re visiting Deadwood, the Mountain Grand is a must-see for its mix of history, entertainment, and beautiful Black Hills setting. Perfect for a weekend getaway with a concert, some gaming, and a dose of local history.

Great hotel with clean rooms, nice views of the town and staff was very friendly! Only downside is no free breakfast, but the restaurant has decent breakfast options for reasonable prices.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The shower was very large and stocked with Dove products. The bar and restaurant on site offered a nice alternative to Downtown Deadwood bars and restaurants. The overall look of the property was warm and comfortable. Highly recommend the Holiday Inn!
