Singapore native Yeo Xi Yang (Yang) always had an interest in food and wine, but studied business administration before pursuing a career as a sommelier, first working at Singapore’s award-winning Les Amis. A classic French restaurant, his education there would eventually help him win numerous accolades, including Sopexa’s Best Sommelier of Singapore in French Wines in 2016 and 2018. He went on to become Head Sommelier at Black Swan before joining Park90 as Head Sommelier where he earned World Gourmet Summit’s 2019 Rising Sommelier of the Year.
Born and raised in Malaysia, Co-Head Sommelier Mason Ng developed an appreciation for fine wines thanks to his uncle, who would visit his family in Kuala Lumpur several times a year, always bringing along wines from Singapore. At 18, he decided to forgo plans to attend university and began his career in fine food and wine at the iconic Les Amis—where he would first meet and work with Yang —and soon became the youngest Certified Sommelier in Asia at the age of 19. He went on to create the wine programme at Singapore’s Atlas bar before joining Park90, where he and Yang lead a team of a dozen sommeliers both locally and overseas.
