Since arriving on the Virginia wine scene in 2007 Potomac Point Winery has made quite a splash. Our Mediterranean estate will make you feel as if you’ve entered Tuscany, only to be up-scaled by our award winning wines. Only 45 minutes outside of Washington, DC we offer a variety of leisurely activities and events. With a selection of wine tastings, facility tours and a full bistro serving lunch and dinner, Potomac Point Vineyard and Winery is a destination in itself.

Adventure Brewing Company is focused on bringing full flavored beers to the local area. Adventure Brewing's lineup of beers include four year round styles and a number of seasonal or special batches. The year round styles include an IPA, a Pale Ale, a Wheat and a Stout. Specialty and seasonal batches such as Double IPA, Pumpkin Beer, Smoked Ale, Christmas lager and others will, of course, invite more adventurous tastes. We serve samples and full beers in the tasting room as well as fill growlers

Stafford Civil War Park preserves camps where part of the Union Army of the Potomac recovered from the Battle of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Located along Accokeek Creek just outside Stafford on Mount Hope Road, the park just opened to the public in April 2013 and is becoming a major War Between the States (Civil War) destination for Stafford County.

George Washington was 6 years old in 1738 when his family moved to this farm on the Rappahannock River across from Fredericksburg. The Ferry Farm Visitor Center features displays of colonial and Civil War artifacts found on the property and the lab, where archaeologists may be viewed working Monday through Friday. On this self-guided tour, guests can enjoy the gardens containing plants grown in the 18th century, see the site where the Washington house stood overlooking the Rappahannock River,.

This magnificent Georgian mansion, its various outbuildings and dependencies, and the historic ground which surrounds it represent a small preserve in which the entire scope of Virginia heritage from Colonial times to the 20th Century. Today Chatham is part of Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park. The buildings and grounds are open daily 9:00-4:30. Five of the ten rooms contain exhibits and the rest of the building as well as the outbuildings are park offices.

The National Museum of the Marine Corps is a lasting tribute to U.S. Marines--past, present, and future. Situated on a 135-acre site adjacent to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, and under the command of Marine Corps University, the Museum's soaring design evokes the image of the flag-raisers of Iwo Jima and beckons visitors to this 120,000-square-foot structure.
