COVID Complications

I want to start with COVD-19 has made our stay difficult. I realize the staff has had to make changes on the fly, however, a discount in room rates I feel was needed/desired due to the lack of amenities promised before and during our stay. The changes made because of the pandemic were out of their control but refunds were in their control.
We stayed here for pet friendly reasons and wonderful experiences at IHG hotels in the past, not this property in particular.

I have stayed at this Stabridge multiple times, but during this period their caution about interaction is understood. Normally wonderful breakfast is now a disappointing offering to keep contact at a minimum. No room service unless requested. Beware of room location, however. My room was adjacent to the elevator, and every time it was used I heard the machinery loud and clear -- day and night. I've stayed in rooms facing the freeway, and the hotel is to be commended for 3-layer windows to reduce noise. This time the room faced the inner court, and there was no traffic noise at all.

The hotel is located in a comfortable and safe location. Restaurants, shops, and retailers are in close proximity which makes for convenient access. I will stay there again.?

Great place to stay. Socialization rating is low because of COVID-19. Not the hotels fault of course.
