This is an attractive property with nice amenities and friendly staff. There is some construction going on that makes it hard to spot from the road and adds a bit of a walk from the parking area to the lobby and rooms. There is a nice courtyard and pool area. The building is close to a busy arterial, but my ceiling fan provided enough white noise at night to smooth that over. The room was clean and comfortable. There aren't a lot of restaurants in short walking distance but a long walk or a short drive will get you right into the heart of La Jolla for restaurants, bars, shops, etc.

My husband and I stayed at the La Jolla location. We were very satisfied with the friendliness and service. All the employees we encountered were helpful and polite. The rooms are comfortable and recently updated. We stayed in Room 102 which kind of reminded us of a little bungalow. The windandsea beach is a short 2 block walk, lovely beach!

Stayed twice at this hotel but every time the hotel failed to post welcome bonus points to my IHG Rewards Club account. Every time I had to contact Ambassador Service Center for this issue. I'm wondering why it is so hard for the hotel to post the 500 points ?!
Besides, the hotel is building a new wing and the construction site takes up most of the existing parking spaces. I arrived a bit late during the both stays and could not find any parking spaces at all because they were all full. I was driving and circling around the hotel for half an hour but still couldn't find any parking space. Finally I had to call the front desk from my cell phone and asked what to do about it. The hotel seriously need to figure out how to solve the parking problem. I don't know if the parking ticket is expensive in La Jolla but I will try to avoid staying at this hotel until they have enough parking spaces for the hotel guests.

The construction going on outside was distracting. The hotel itself was excellent. The staff were all great.

Older hotel by the beach, they tried to have it clean, but its definitely a "beach hotel"
However we did enjoy our stay and you cant beat the price for the location. Pool was old and dirty but kids loved it anyway. Breakfast was nice for the kids in the morning and the coffee was great.
Staff was VERY VERY nice. They did have great customer service.

Clean facilities, friendly staff.
Not much space to park.
One part of the hotel was under construction.
I believe it would become better when the construction is over.
