Let me start with positive thing about the hotel, the location was great, the breakfast was also good. And the help that I got from the door/baggage service was also excellent. With all these positive, I can't overcome the negative experience, I experienced from the hotel. The front desk lobby service that I got was so poor and in fact it probably the worst customer service I experienced in my life being in so many hotel. It made so angry with the situation and them not being understanding after long flight, and it was very frustrating. I don't understand why management is training them like this. And the room that we got the bed was small, and we found a spider in my room, we even have picture to prove it. With all this said, it was something that won't derail us, but service that we got from the front desk will derail us from not coming back to this hotel. Unfortunately, I don't see myself and my friends visiting back at the same hotel.

This was our first trip to Mexico and we saved the best 'till last.
We checked in after an eight day trip around Mexico with lots of plans to sightsee still on the list of things to do.
When we arrived at the fabulous InterContinental Cancun Beach Resort we didn't move from the place for three days!!
We had everything we needed - superb beach, fabulous swimming in the many pools, terrific food - the best lobster every in my life (and I have eaten plenty in my 50 years). Even great shopping.
We stayed in a fabulous room with stunning views over the ocean. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff - ideas, suggestions, things to do - but as I said we stayed in our wonderful hotel world.
The vibe was great. Having spent many happy holidays in the Caribbean it was a super reminder and it didn't disappoint in the bars.
Can't wait to re-visit and this time we'll stay longer!!

Is to go onto the fantastic beach and then walk either right or left. Only by looking at the beach available to neighbouring hotels can you really appreciate what a fantastic location the InterConti has. And the beach is what we are really here for isn't it?
The rest of the hotel is just as fantastic though - and made by the staff. Whether it's the guys serving breakfasts or complimentary cocktails in the upstairs lounge or the barman on the beach, nothing is too much trouble and all done with a smile.
My wife and I had lobsters done two different ways in the restaurant one night; both delicious and maybe the best I've ever tasted - and I've eaten lobster all over the world from Sydney to London - with Aldo Zilli's lobster, chilli and chips the only real rival.
Rooms are well- appointed and comfortable. Reception first class. I had an internet problem that made accessing my BA flight home boarding pass difficult. No problem at all - all sorted within minutes.
So yes, a big thumbs up. Only other hotel I've stayed in that comes up to this standard recently was the Hotel Arts in Barcelona and the prices there make your eyes water! Enjoy!

The hotel has excellent facilities and a staff with excellent attitude, very helpful and polite. A comfortable room, very quiet, I could sleep well throughout my stay. My daughters were delighted with the pool and the beach. The breakfast buffet has excelent food. Highly recommended for family vacations. I was very pleased with my stay.

This is on the very best part of cancun beach, tranquil seas, shallow waters out to 100 yards, great beach traditional style sun shades, nice pool area.
The room we had on the 5th floor overlooking the beach was superb, except in one item. The BED. It is HARD. It is a kind of solid piece of mostly unforgiving foam that does not at all provide a welcoming experience.
Other than that item, This was a memorable holiday.

Manager, front desk people, waiters, bell boys, eveyone with a very warm and personalized attention makes a great team and turn the hotel be my favorite in Cancun.
It has happened several times to see the manager very attentive to guests.
Besides they have the best beach in Cancun.

The only thing I dont like is that the design of the hotel in general could be anywhere in the world, I prefered that the hotel belong to the place, so when i am in the beach it wolud be a hotel with that feeling.
