Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent service and facilities I'm impressed by the way hotel is managed and staff attitude towards the hotel guests. The room given to us had breathtaking see view and met all my expectations. Food delicious, rooms spotless. I especially would like to compliment the chef of the Beach Restaurant that has taken into account kids preference to fish fingers :-). Beach is beautiful and never crowned, pools are spectacular. 29 March 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The Great, Good and Not-So-Great Good: - Beautifully remodeled property in comptemorary design. - Gorgeous beach. - Staff members all courteous and helpful. - Excellent rates for beach front property or any vacation property. - Restaurants open to beach with excellent food and acceptable prices. - Beautifully designed rooms and bathrooms. - Panormic views from rooms. - Excellent recognition for IHG elite members (Royal Ambassador upgrade could not be better) Not-So-Good - Hotel is FREEZING! I turned off air conditioning upon arrival and room was never comfortable except during midafternoon when sunshine was at peak. When Club Intercontinental attendant asked me (daily) if all was satisfactory with my stay I complained about the ambient temperature. He smiled an thanked me for the info. - Floors are stone with grout that appears stained. - Housekeeping and mini bar service were inconsistant. - Stone floor was WATER mopped giving the room an unpleasant musty smell. - Was crudely approached in lobby by staff member offering the usual free vacation/timeshare pitch... OVERALL: A beautifully remodeled property offering luxurious accomodations on the beach at prices far below the all-inclusive properties. IHG Ambassadors will be very pleased by the personal check-in, club access and level of recognition 29 March 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Always Excellent We just completed our second 10 day stay at this hotel and we think it is the best hotel in Cancun, especially for the reasonable price. The beach is the best, wide with plenty of palapas and trees for shade. The hotel grounds and rooms are clean and superbly maintained. You won't find cans, cups and other leavings on the beach and the public restrooms are being constantly cleaned and refreshed. You won't find any overflowing waste cans here! By all means do include the breakfast buffet which includes a variety of Mexican and US breakfast dishes all of which are well prepared. If you find you are missing something in your room or need some special attention like more coffee there is an "anything, any time" or words to that effect button on the phone where you can make your requests and there is generally someone at the door almost as soon as you hang up the phone. The drinks are reasonably priced and the beach wait staff is excellent. There were a couple of nights where we heard a few spring break partyers returning but we were near the lobby elevators. That was only for a couple of nights. There aren't many kids staying there in any case as it is an adult oriented hotel, and doesn't offer activities for the spring break crowd. They have a couple of very nice pools for those who don't care for the calm water and sandy bottom of the gulf. The hotel is located just after the 90 degree turn where the road turns to go into the city of Cancun. Join the rewards club, it is free and has some nice benefits including free wifi. Room Tip: The upper floors away from the lobby have less noise from late night party people. See more room tips Stayed March 2015, traveled with friends 29 March 2015
