LOCAL CULTURE

Chengdu Weather

The distinctive characteristic of Chengdu weather is fog and humidity. There are fewer hours of sunlight per day, and the summer is hotter and the winter is colder than the temperature shows. The rainy season is usually in July and August, with occasional storms. Thus, the best time to pay a visit is March to June and September to November.

    Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by
25 September 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good experience though service not up to IC standard overall enjoyable experience. check in was efficient, lobby very impressive. Room was very nice, although hot water knob broke upon first use, and air conditioning too cold in the room, and too hot in the hallway and elevator. Lounge very nice. Breakfast was average for the best - they are sparsely stationed, not very fresh and some items were stale. Check out was problematic since my US issued credit card was charged with DCC directly without giving the option of local currency or USD. I have always been given options for every hotel (3,4,5 stars) when I traveled in China - this was the first time. 23 September 2014
