Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful lobby but problems with the room. The window in our room didn't latch properly, resulting in very loud traffic noises from 5am on. If I had noticed this earlier I would have requested a different room but when we arrived quite late in the evening it was quiet. If arriving by car keep in mind that it is impossible to stop even for a moment to drop off luggage. The only area in front of the hotel is reserved for taxis so there is nowhere to leave the car while checking in or out. We found this to be very inconvenient as we only wanted to drop our luggage before returning our rental car. We ended up dragging our luggage back from the airport. The lobby is lovely, the staff is efficient and the room is fairly standard. It is about a 30 minute walk or 15 minute bus ride into town. The next time I am in Geneva I will likely book a smaller hotel in the city center at a lower price. The Intercontinental is nice enough but I would not consider it to be a 5 star hotel. May 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by peaceful stay The hotel was a serene, comfortable oasis during a week of hectic meetings. Much appreciated and will return. May 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Greatly exceeded my expactations in all respects This was a wonderful hotel. The staff were friendly, attentive and true professionals - from the bellmen to the reception to the cleaning staff. Bravo! I travel a great deal, and my spouse and I had to go to Geneva at the the last minute at a time where most of the hotels were completely booked or only had their most expensive rooms available. As a Platinum Ambassador, I decided to check out the availability at the Geneva Intercontinental. I was thrilled to see the room that was being offered and had sufficient points to stay for 5 nights. The room was just beautiful with a spectacular view of Lake Geneva. We had a wonderful stay. I gave it five stars in every category except for value, since I found the restaurant to be a bit pricey even by Geneva standards. May 13, 2015
