Insider Tips

Hospitality manners

Saudis welcome guests either through the intricate preparation of coffee, served with dates and sweets, or by the burning of incense (oud).
The few steps from our chandelier-lit lobby to the Haram transport you from one place of tradition to another. Whether viewing the Holy Mosque from your guestroom or sampling mouthwatering international or Saudi cuisine in one of the hotel restaurants, you are experiencing the authentic Makkah (or Mecca, as it is also known). We value your privacy, so you will not find a public mall or arcade in the lobby, just fellow guests and friendly staff. For us, Arab hospitality is a guiding philosophy.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quick points Pros Ahmed, the reception guy, was super nice. He offer the upgrade and I refused because of the view. I loved their gift. Cons The club wasn't as expected at all. first, I always need to knock the door or the bell, rooms key didn't work there. Second, there was not much of choices even for the breakfast, more important, even the choices that we have didn't match the five stars hotel standard. their hot milk was colder than the water that we drink. the service was the worst part of my experience there. (no tissue in my table, nor spoon.) they say that the club is close at 11 pm, yet they start taking the snacks around 10:30. Another gusts came by 10:37 there and they asked about the snacks and the Egyptian guy told them that they were late! The only one who was good at the club was Akram a Srilankan guy. He asked us if we want anything from the buffet before they remove it not like the other guys the day before, he also, told us that they have an omelette if we want. One last thing, the bathroom in my room need to be fix, whenever I use the shower, there will be water in the ground (the only way to remove it was to use the towel or to wait for the room service.
