Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 459 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Memorable experience and GREAT service I want to say that I rarely write reviews, unless I find my experience to be one of the extremes- amazing/horrible. This hotel has beyond exceeded my expectations in comfort and service. Service- The gentleman at the front desk greeted me with a smile and was efficient, clear, and extremely accommodating. I was given a FREE room upgrade to a suite on my one night stay. A staff member stopped by randomly around 1300 to ask me if I needed anything (without being invasive). On check in and check out the hotel held our bags until our room was ready and until we had to go to the airport. My boyfriend's friend, who did not stay at the hotel, asked the front desk if they could hold his luggage until our flight (to my embarrassment) but they kindly agreed to do so. Comfort- The room was spacious by almost all standards (most especially for my experience in Japan)! The room temperature was perfect, with several thermostats in the suite that I could control without any issue. All the beds were nice- not too hard and pillows were soft so I was able to sleep well. Both bathrooms were large and the water pressure/ temperature was perfect in showers and for the faucets. The toilets were amazing (heated seats etc.). We were given many complementary amenities- including a razor and shaving cream, nail file, q-tips etc. There was even a washing machine in the suite. The view was spectacular. Essentially this place had all the big things and the small touches; I even liked the curtains :). TVs in all the rooms (master, guest, and living rooms) were pretty big, and all were newer model flat screens. Had a full size refrigerator/freezer in a kitchen stocked with supplies such as tongs/spatulas etc. in the case we wanted to cook (which we did not). The only drawback (which I did not hold against the hotel in my review)- The employee at the more 'informal' lounge on floor 20 seemed stressed out though my friends and I were the only ones there. She did not seem very happy to serve us (making our drinks took some time), but I give her the benefit of the doubt and like to think she was not having a good day. Overall I highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and I plan to stay here again for my next trip to Osaka. May 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing stay in great hotel My wife and i stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in May 2015. The reception is on the 20th floor so unlike most hotels where you can easily identify where the lobby is, here depending on the entrance you find yourselves in front of lifts or the bell desk who can help with your luggage. The reception area is nice with a nice view over Osaka and many staff ready to help. We were soon in our room on 21st floor and had a nice big room with all the amenities you would expect in an Intercontinental hotel. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice area where we could just sit and relax. The hotel itself is very close to Osaka station (within a short walk) and within a nice shopping area so you don't need to walk far to shop. Only real negative was the price of a take away coffee - it was about 1,400 Yen (about $12US) as compared to 400 Yen in Starbucks just a few minutes walk away. The room itself is expensive that there is no need to charge such a ridiculous amount for a coffee - and the taste was no better! May 23, 2015
