Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Prompt and friendly service This hotel looked impressive at arrival and we were very glad of the valet parking. It had an overall relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the door staff remembered us each day and made relevant conversation. Service was also prompt and reliable. The guest room was very clean and comfortable. The only slight down side was that the room sometimes became too hot (especially at night) as the air conditioning seemed to switch itself off at times of inactivity. We did not use the restaurant as this did seem quite expensive. The Top of the Mark offered fabulous views, but the menu seemed to mainly offer fish (not a favorite of our family). August 25, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and staff. The hotel service was great, staff very helpful and knowledgeable. The only disappointment was that there was no restaurant, the breakfast buffet was a unlimited variety of wonderful and good food. But the dining room was closed for lunch and dinner.. The room service menu also looked good, but had we ordered there was no place to eat in the room only a chair with an ottoman and a desk; not very conducive to eating. We had to go out for the two nights we stayed and found a great Italian restaurant which the porter had suggested to us. Also not many restaurants in the area so a dining room at the Mark would have been great; especially after a long flight or a busy day of sightseeing. Aside from this we enjoyed our stay. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A landmark property to experience once Beautiful property and location that is reasonably well maintained. Very clean rooms with comfortable beds however the air conditioning is noisy. The club access is not worth the money, the food is the selection of wines are very poor. The gym equipment is very old and the location is in the basement. You might as well say there is no gym. August 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Weekend in SF at Mark Hopkins Front desk staff, including shift manager ,initially failed to recognize a platinum IHG member,did not reserve an upgraded room, I checked in at 7;00pm.I had to wait for the a better room to be fully cleaned;the manager initially was abrupt and short with me stating "we're very busy and sold out tonight".She tried to make amends when I stated I may just leave and go to another hotel. It was quite an upsetting experience. August 21, 2015

From the moment you open the door to this suite you know your in for a special treat.The living room greats you with a view of the north bay, and the cable cars below ringing by on California St .As you walk around the dining room to your "Sun Room" the views really come alive. The Palace of Fine Arts peeks it's dome to the west, and beyond "The Golden Gate Bridge"is awaiting the golden sunsets that make this small room come alive. Turn on your Bose sound system to a little classical music and let your mind wander. As you make your way to the bedroom and bathroom there are robes to be slipped on as you wait for a plunge into the soaking spa tub. Beautiful marble tile fills this room with rich color. A separate shower and sink basin surrounded in chrome fixtures.And there it is, Your king size bed over looking the main entrance to the property. Watch the cars coming and going below. Listen to the heart of the city,Clang ,Clang, Clang. You know the rest... Sleep Well.... You deserve it. August 19, 2015
