RECOMMENDATIONS
MORNINGA San Jose city tour will introduce you to the most important sights of our capital, the largest and most vibrant city of Costa Rica. Driving through the Main Avenue, you will visit the heart of the city to admire our National Theatre. This architectural jewel was designed as the opera house at the beginning of the 19th century. You can also visit the National Museum, which documents Costa Rican history, before going on to the Central Park, the Cathedral, the Congress Building (Asamblea Legislativa) and the Court of Justice. |
AFTERNOONA coffee tour is recommended if you don´t have enough time to do a full day tour. You will leave the hotel around 10am to go the province of Heredia. The tour proper begins at 11am with a look around the organic coffee fields, lush tropical gardens and plantation roastery. You can then enjoy fine coffee and lunch in the same Britt plantation. |
EVENINGTo have a perfect evening in Costa Rica, we recommend you to go for dinner at one of the most famous typical restaurants in the city. Tiquicia is well known not only for its classic costarican cuisine and folkloric dances, but also for its incomparable view of San Jose;. It is located just 15 minutes from the hotel. |
LOCAL CULTURE"Pura Vida"This is Costa Rica's most common greeting and you'll hear people saying it from the moment you arrive in the country. Literally 'pure life', it means everything is fine. Red - Orange taxisThere are two kinds of taxis. The ones from the airport are orange and very safe. Around the city we recommend you use the red ones with a yellow triangle because they are licensed by the government. TippingYou are welcome to tip taxi drivers, bellboys and waiters but it is not mandatory. You will be charged a 10 percent service tax for all restaurant and bar services. |
