    Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No need to look elsewhere in Sydney! This is now my "go to" place for my stays in Sydney. The staff is amazing. The concierge was able to get tickets for us to Aida (opera) less than 1-1/2 hours before curtain! The front desk staff were all so very helpful and courteous (especially Kendall). The bar area is beautiful and the bar staff was very attentive. I'm not a person who writes reviews routinely, but when I find a "gem" like this one, I feel compelled to share the experience. 31 March 2015
    Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beware of upgrades Our stay in the IC Sydney had a couple of problems - the first time we have faulted this well located and run hotel. We arrived latish having flown in from Singapore to be told that we had been up graded to a Harbour Bridge view. The room being on the corner was smaller than most of the rooms. The Coat Hanger was visible but so were the walls of the hotel which made the room very dark. Frankly the view of the Harbour Bridge was no big deal as we have stayed in Sydney many times. I rang the duty manager the following morning and requested a down grade back to our original Eastern Harbour view. This room was light and airy as well as larger. The manager was very efficient in arranging the move. (A better room for the upgrade would have been nice.) The other niggle was the inability to reset the telephone messaging system. We asked for this to be done on several occasions as we were unable to reset the pin. This fault was never put right. The Club Lounge is busy but the staff are very attentive and the food and drink on offer good. I will finish by saying we have been upgraded royally on other visits with Opera House views. 31 March 2015
    Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Intercontinental Sydney Location of this hotel is perfect! High floor rooms can have a perfect view of harbour and Opera house. If room is upgraded (at considerable extra expense) one can breakfast in the Club on the top floor, with amazing views. Staff are the biggest asset, always willing to go the "extra mile". 29 March 2015
