Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HardlyEverHome Everything I expected and more!
I reserved a room at the StayBridge for a couple of reasons. I needed another "brand" for my IHG rewards status and because it was less expensive than other properties which I considered comparable. Well, the stay was great and the staff was even better. Everything about the studio suite was wonderful, comfortable and clean. The location is super... very close to a number of interesting dining choices.
Breakfast was way above what I expected and the staff were all friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful.
Yep, that's where I'll be next time I'm in Amarillo, whether for one night or one week!

This is our second year to have the pleasure of staying at Amarillo-Western Crossing. We have four foster boys and the accommodations are excellent for families to be able to enjoy the indoor pool, DVD and game usage and the excellent breakfasts. Our only complaint this time was the noise throughout the nights. people upstairs sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling, drunk people yelling up and down the hallway and the room next door had someone snoring so loudly it kept us awake for several hours. My husband were a c-pap machine for snoring (which travels with us) and I could hear the person next door over his machine. Wish the walls were better insulated for sound.

When I booked the room, I was told that there was a full size oven in the room. No oven, so we had to use the gas outside to cook our turkey.

Super friendly staff..all of them (from receptionist to housekeepers to the wonderful and cheery "breakfast mom".). Lots of smiles everywhere!! We decided the beds were just as comfortable as at home, and we've never said that before about other hotels. Excellent, very satisfying breakfasts. The most delicious coffee of any hotel experience. This place is THE best hotel experience we've ever had! And we're a mom/dad/5 children family!

I enjoyed my recent stay here. Leslie at the front desk was very helpful when it came to check in and parking. I got there just in time to take advantage of the mangers reception, that is a nice perk for the traveling professional. Breakfast was good and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Can't ask for much more than that! Thanks and hopefully I will get an opportunity to stay here again!

I booked a suite for a family visit. This was the best experience we have had with a hotel in many years. The property was extra clean, modern, tons of amenities, extremely friendly and helpful staff, incredible dinner and breakfast, even a movie and game room. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TSTau1 Relaxing, no worries stay
Love the Staybridge Suites in general (one exception sofar) and this one in particular. It must be a very new hotel as it is immaculate. Rooms very clean and well equipped with everything you may need, in the kitchen as well. All amenities available including free washer and dryer.
Staff went out of their way to make us feel 'at home' - always ready with a joke as well. They were also very helpful in directing us to sights and specific places we were looking for.
I really can't find anything to criticise - maybe I should have used the Gym; might be something wrong with that although I doubt it LOL
We liked the Hotel and Amarillo so much that we extended our stay there.

I actually only stayed for 1 night, arrived very late & left fairly early. However, after entering the room, I wish that I had been able to stay longer! Full kitchen & fridge, great living area, bedroom separated by double doors & a good-sized closet & bathroom. Sleep was peaceful on the King bed & the staff & GM were very friendly upon arrival & departure. The breakfast buffet was good, the entire hotel & dining area were very clean, it's located close to I-40 but still quiet, what more could you ask for in a stay? Highly recommend.

I have stayed at this staybridge multiple times and love it. I travel here frequently and the hotel staff has always been extremely great. The rooms are very nice and the beds are comfy. I have stayed in the king one bedroom suite most of my stays is it is like an apartment. Clean, great staff, and excellent amenities.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mailman316 Great Room, Great Price
Had an excellent stay at this hotel. Little tricky to get to, but well worth it. Close to the interstate, Red Robin and Dyer's. Can't beat that. Only little glitch, and this is personal preference, is the "bite size" pillows to sleep on. Would rather have larger pillows, but the sleep was still excellent. Will most definitely return in the future. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Helped with directions to where we needed to go. The area for the dogs absolutely perfect. I don't have a dog, but I would LOVE to have that grass.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by CAM13 Not our best experience at a Staybridge
We have stayed at other Staybridge Suites and thought we would have the same experience. I front desk and kitchen help were excellent and attentive. Housekeeping left something to be desired. When we arrived, the bathroom and kitchen counters had not been properly cleaned. There was a decorative side drape in our living room that was partially pulled down. The phone didn't work. I could hear whoever was talking but they couldn't hear me. There was a piece of caulking around the bathtub that had come loose and was left there during our stay.
I cleaned up the toilet with wipes. Front desk personnel offered to move us to another room, but I had already unpacked and didn't want the hassle of moving. The front desk had the maintenance man come and fix the phone and drape. That was done quickly. We stayed 4 days and on 3 of those days I had to call and say that the room hadn't been straightened and then they sent someone up. Had to remind the maid to empty the kitchen trash can.
I know they have new management and have high hopes that everything will b fixed soon. Housekeeping needs to be trained to let management know if there is an issue with a room. Don't make the guests call it in. (6 rooms were booked by my family & friends) But, others didn't seem to have the same problems we did. Maybe being the last room at the end of a long hall was not good. Maybe housekeepers got tired by the time they made it to our room.
We were there for the funeral of my mom and I recommended the hotel to friends and family that flew in so at first I felt that maybe I had made a mistake recommending Staybridge.
Positives - the front desk personnel (Nichole & others) was always helpful and sympathetic. Nora, in the kitchen, was a high point. Always smiling and friendly. I love the way Staybridge is set up. Love the food and large rooms and pool. Hopefully, when we stay in another Staybridge we won't have these problems. We didn't have these issues in Las Vegas or in Plano and my daughter thought the NY, NY Staybridge was fine, too.

Our family fit well having the two bedrooms yet we adults could still visit after children were put to bed. The pool was kid friendly and the gazebo was like sitting in our own back yard. We will stay with you again.

I have never stayed here but I am a huge customer of IHG rewards. I can tell you this, by far the most elegant, roomiest Hotel I have ever stayed in. Well, not a hotel but a Suite. I loved it...The room was cold, lots of towels, a lounge area outside, BBQ area if you were staying a while, HUGE breakfast area, hot tub, very nice pool and a social time for guests which included free beer!!! WOW....
Thanks a lot IHG, I will be back...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fifthstreetantiques One of the best places we stayed in 6 weeks on the road!
This was our first time at Staybridge. We travel frequently and normally stay at HIE, because we like the familiarity and value we get for the money - creatures of habit. We decided to throw caution to the wind and try Staybridge and now we wish we'd been staying there all along! Rooms here at this specific Staybridge were clean, roomy and well equipped. Staff was pleasant and helpful - manager was exceptional. We arrived in time to enjoy an evening reception that included food and beverages, including beer and wine. The bonus was the free laundry. Free breakfast was above average and included fresh fruit, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend this hotel!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable bed and quiet room
Enjoyed our stay - room was immaculate and bed SO comfy. Had a little trepidation about being on the first floor since I always worry about the noise from guest above me. ...NONE! So happy. Breakfast selection and freshness was above my expectations. Price was lower than comparable places. Would definitely return...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BKC001 Best Value in Texas
I travel A LOT. This hotel is easily the best value in the state of Texas or Oklahoma.
My only gripe, if you can even call it that.... no cookies. Most of the other Staybridges and Holiday Inn Express hotels put out cookies in the evening.
Add cookies and the place is perfect!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jstme831 Great Stay & Reasonable
We had a pleasant stay after a very long drive. The only draw back was the leftovers in the fridge from the prior occupant. Just cleaned it up and ran bowl through the dishwasher.
Breakfast was GREAT! Fresh fruit was definitely a hit with our family as well as the variety in coffee...bold roast vs light roast. We look forward to staying with you in the future the next time we are traveling in Texas.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Rede5 Could have been a great stay
This hotel has so much potential, but missed the mark in several ways. It is shiny and new with attractive decor, so we were excited to arrive after a long drive. The person at the front desk, however, seemed distracted so that we did not feel especially welcome at check in. Our room, although clean and again nicely decorated, did not have a bathroom door that closed, and the robe hook was missing. (A small point, but there was no place to put a robe) We went to the complimentary supper to find a lovely green salad, but the burrito main entree was missing tortillas. There was only a serving plate of crumbs. It was not refilled during the time we were there. The complimentary laundry facilities were clean with three washers and dryers and a large table, but after putting soap and even money into one machine, we could not get it to operate. We called for help and were told that the machine did not work. He said there had been a sign, but it was missing, and he would make another. Later, one of the dryers quit. It was inconvenient for us, and also resulted in others having to wait. This was not a bad stay, but certainly could use a little more attention.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 We'll Be Back
This is a great hotel. It exceeded my expectations, and we'll definitely be staying there again the next time we're in Amarillo. It's a great place to stay with kids, because you can actually put them in an adjoining room. Plus, we had a full kitchen, microwave and fridge. I didn't cook, but you can't beat this for snacks and keeping drinks or leftovers cold (no morning trek to an overpriced vending machine for the AM soda, thank goodness). Plus the rooms are spacious and well considered. The technology is great and there are outlets (to charge your own technology) at every turn. I just came away feeling like the hotel had spent resources on the right things. The furniture, carpet, etc., wasn't luxurious. But the room was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The staff was fantastic and kind and went out of their way to help us. We'll definitely be back.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by monatexasgal Visually Pleasing Spacious Room with issues
This is a beautiful hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. We stayed 1 night on 2 separate occasions in the same week. I think the staff needs some customer service training and the housekeeping was lacking. On the first stay, our room had a trash can full of old smelly trash from a previous occupant. I called the front desk to let them know. He said to me "what do you want me to do about it? Really? That's just unacceptable. There were several maintenance issues as well such as broken toilet paper roll holder, doors that didn't close properly. The second stay there was another housekeeping issue. The bath mat that was folded over the tub was wet and looked like it had been used by previous guest. There was a large group having a cookout outside. It happened to be right by our window. They were very loud, drinking, children running around and banging on windows and doors. I finally called the desk at midnight and asked if something could be done. At 1 AM it was still going on. I did not get much sleep that night. I might try a different hotel next time. There is a lot of competition in Amarillo and I think it has potential but needs work. I am a travel agent and will send my clients elsewhere.
